Sarah Palin's new site is being blocked by Microsoft
Me | July 29, 2014 | EternalHope

Posted on 07/29/2014 7:51:19 AM PDT by EternalHope

Microsoft's "SmartScreen Filter" is blocking Sarah Palin's new website (sarahpalinchannel.com).

When I went to the site anyway (it's hard to do), the videos would not play.

Whatever is wrong may have been caused by a deliberately orchestrated group of people reporting the site as unsafe to Microsoft, or it may simply be that Microsoft simply does not like Sarah Palin. Regardless of the cause, it may help if people go to the site and click on the "Report this site does not contain threats" choice.

Enough people reporting the site as safe may help get it off Microsoft's black list.

I doubt it’s too nefarious. Am sure they will fix it asap. Could be a coding issue. Could be a few assh***s reporting it. Happens to new sites with some degree of frequency. Also, even sites I have gone to for years get the occasional Google screen saying the site is dangerous.

Am sure it will all workout soon. Also, just make sure you have the most current browser downloaded. I have also found that some sites do better with different browsers. I use Firefox primarily but do use others from time to time. The site worked fine on Firefox for me.

The website is:
sarahpalinchannel.com

Can someone ping someone with a ping list so we can get some support for Sarah going on this?

The site looks wonderful. The video came through, no problems.

I’m using Chrome, so that may have something to do with it.

Use Chrome. IE is a pita.

No one should be using older than IE 11, which does not install on XP or Vista. On Windows 7, use IE 11 with much caution and hesitation. On Windows 8.1, don't use Windows 8.1 at all.

Use Chrome until you learn Linux. Then use Chrome or Firefox on Linux.

Get thee behind me, Microsoft Windows and Internet Explorer.

Yes, IE did screen it.

Here's what you do:

When you get the warning, click More information

Select Disregard and continue (not recommended).

After site loads, note the URL address bar has the unsafe site warning. Click Unsafe website

In the popup, click Report that this site does not contain threats

This will take you to a Feedback screen you can fill in to say (and select the radio button for this) I think this is a safe site.

Then fill in the characters shown below and click Submit.

If several of us do this, it will remove the unsafe report.

Tried to access site through Google Chrome. Message came back: “This webpage is not available”. On IE, when I report that website does not pose a threat, it comes back: “Error Your request cannot be completed at this time. Please try again later.”

Censorship, restraint of trade, 1st amendment violation, etc.

They block Sarah but they will allow the most perverted and disgusting porno sites to be available. Welcome to Acirema, where the guilty are rewarded and the innocent are punished.

It's not on her site. It's an option on the "SmartScreen Filter" Microsoft's Internet Explorer uses.

I can go there in a different browser and get through. The only browser I know of that is blocking it is Internet Explorer.

The videos will not play in Internet Explorer if you continue to the site anyway.

Done. Her site looks good!

I tested on multiple browsers - the message is just a gay little trick by the Left to try and poison her site for IE-users.

Note that I am using ‘gay’ in its modern sense of ‘vicious and infantile’.

The video will play if you add her site to Trusted sites in IE 11, as follows:

In IE 11, click the Gear icon in the far upper right.

From the Popup menu, select Internet options.

In the Internet options properties page, select the Security tab.

In the Select a zone to view or change security settings, double-click Trusted sites, and then click the wide Sites button just below and to the right.

Click the Add button, and then click Close, and finally, OK.

Refresh and now the video should play.

It has nothing to do with Microsoft per se. It’s because a number of liberal knuckleheads reported the site to Microsoft as unsafe. I suspect these same folks are working to get Google and Firefox to report the same thing as well.

As posted earlier, simply override and send feedback to Microsoft that the site it safe... the flag will be lifted soon enough.

Yancy

I'm very disappointed to hear that she's charging a fee. Because now she'll be preaching just to the choir, and not to the general public. More people need to hear what Palin has to say. This sure isn't a way to do that.

Or as stated, ad the channel to your trusted sites, or if you can turn off the Smart Screen filter.

I use Pale Moon and IE11 as my primary browsers. Chrome is a piece of crap that slowly drains resources (and battery life on laptops) when multiple tabs are opened, and even when they aren’t. This is a problem that has plagued the browser since its release. For years Google promised a fix and never delivered. They finally admitted it’s an issue that can never be resolved... it’s embedded within code and they would have to build from the ground floor up.

Have not missed it one bit.

I think the idea is to clear a path in the forest for unfiltered information to reach those who want such an unfiltered-by-the-marxists channel. Right now, at the launch, it's a lot of Sarah and her family. The intent is surely to begin streaming at some point in the future or on occasions and to include more product.

True enough. But there are worse ways of living than the Amish. (I got your humor.)

I bet the operators of SPC are getting one baptism after another in how the American Marxist machine treats American Constitutional conservatives trying to make a go in business.

Just blast on through. Don’t take Microsoft’s word on anything, the antivirus software found no problem at all. When Microsoft asks, tell them you don’t consider the site to be a threat, and open it anyway.

At least as useful as Rush Limbaugh’s website, and you have a lot more opportunity for feedback.

The Disqus was a little bit of a puzzle at first.

But then, I have trouble with Bluetooth. Or Blueray. Or something Blue.
