Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) in Cleveland, Ohio, has "beefed up security measures" after four students were robbed in one of the university's commons "in broad daylight" this past weekend.

The CWRU online student handbook clearly "prohibits the possession of firearms" on campus.

According to Cleveland.com, the students were studying in CWRU's Wade Commons around 4:30 in the afternoon, when "three men, with hooded sweatshirts tied around their face and red bandanas, came into the RedCats room, pulled out a silver handgun and demanded belongings."

On June 10, a woman walking on campus in front of the business school building was approached by two men and robbed at gunpoint. The gunman was not apprehended.

Too bad robbery isn’t banned. There wouldn’t be problems like this.

Do I need the sarcasm tag?

WHAT!! A gun free zone sign didn’t stop armed robbers? How can this be? Every liberal knows that all you have to do to stop crime in pass gun control laws, make more gun free zones, and give away more of the productive citizens’ hard earned cash to the indolent. 51% of the country believes this (the 51% that voted for the turd in the white house)

I’ll bet they just need to get those signs printed up in Spanish and everything will be bueno.

The CRW campus is in the middle of a festering ghetto.
Students are defenseless lambs.

It’s almost as if those gunmen knew that they would be the only people with guns anywhere near their victims.

Take their guns and then teach them to be passive, self-blaming sheep. No wonder they are such easy pickings for criminals.

It’s a “gun free zone”, so by definition, this didn’t happen. They’re lying.

Could be Mennonites. There’s a lot of Mennonites in that area.

No problem. The lib media won’t report it. Ipso facto, it never happened. See how easy it is to fix these problems? Well, I guess they aren’t really problems, because they don’t happen.

Fire the campus police for failing to arrest the perps as soon as they entered the gun free zone. Replace the whole crew.

There are too many police advocating gun free zones, so it’s time we started holding the police responsbile for the results.

Their mistake was that they didn’t create a hashtag to go along with their signs. That would surely have solved the problem and prevented this from happening.

I am sure the gunmen were disaffected ‘conservative’ students

Too bad this wasn’t in that Pennsylvania Hospital with the “Gun Free Zone” rules that was in the news 2 or 3 days ago. As you will recall, when the gun toting whacko started running amuck shooting, two doctors with concealed carry permits, pulled their own firearms from the pockets and dropped the perp.

Sue the college board of directors for damages. If you’re going to require that people attending your facility be defenseless, then you are responsible for what happens.

I see crime as a herd disease and concealed carry as the immunization against that disease. A robust concealed carry law confers immunity to the herd in the same way that a sheep dog confers a large degree of wolf immunity to a herd of sheep. In areas where this immunization is known to be absent or weakened, the disease, unsurprisingly, breaks out.
