On Sunday, a young woman injured five police officers as she blew herself up at a another campus in the city.
The next day, two young women believed to be in their late teens or early 20s separately attacked a petrol station and a shopping centre, suicide blasts that killed at least three people and injured 13 others.
Omeri said security forces on Tuesday stopped a car in Kano's neighbouring state of Katsina and arrested three suspected Boko Haram members.
The group included one male and two girls, aged 18 and 10.
The older two tried to flee, according to Omeri's statement.
The "10-year-old ... was discovered to have been strapped with an explosive belt," he said.

I would not be surprised if they start recruiting Eboli infected bombers.
Nigeria is stopping these children from doing them harm.
America - on the other hand....
Forgive me for being blunt...
BUT, how shitty does your country have to be that a young girl would rather blow her self up than go to the prom ?
There was a post on a Nigerian message board that said this;
“Boko Haram and Ebola in the same country. Nothing good can come of this!”
All you sensible Americans — stay a distance away from women in burka when you go shopping.
We have to wait for the first one to blow up before our government will post warnings about them and, even so, it will take time before something is done about it.
There is a good probability that these girls had no choice in the matter.
Often the one strapped with the bomb does not have the detonator. This is done in case they get cold feet it can be detonated remotely.
Some are strapped against their will.
They blow up so fast.
Even then one of two things will happen. Either government officials and the media will speculate that it was actually a TEA party inspired whacko trying to frame islam, or they will tell us that it was just a lone wolf anomaly...until the next one happens.
Just wait until a jihad suicide bomber walks into a crowded Ebola ward and blows herself up.
