Well-wishers on Friday had raised nearly $100,000 for a baby reportedly left with his surrogate Thai mother after his Australian parents discovered he had Down's Syndrome and returned home with his healthy twin sister.

That’s what I think too
I can’t wait until they explain it to the daughter when she’s older. “We thought we wanted your brother but he is not perfect so we changed our minds.” What if the child they kept isn’t perfect? Delays don’t always show up immediately after birth, and illness or accident can change everything instantly at any time. May God have mercy on them that their hearts soften and they welcome their son.
The saddest thing is, that not all Downs syndrome victims are retarded at all, and many are borderline and function very well. I went to college with a student who had Down’s Syndrome. She was very intelligent and graduated with a degree in accounting.
If enough money is contributed, the Thai lady can get out of the womb-rental business and be a full-time mom to the little boy. Happy outcome all around.
One of my friends has a daughter with Down’s. Well, several do, but this particular girl, I thought she had cerebral palsy or another physical disability, because she’s so competent mentally. She even participates in science competitions, although not at her age/grade level.
It wouldn’t surprise me at all if she could eventually earn a college degree.
It’s not a doll that can be returned to the store.
I’d rather them give them up for adoption that murder them in abortion.
Id rather them give them up for adoption that murder them in abortion

I agree. Many don’t
I know. :(
That’s true for the most part. I have seen several tragic cases where very elderly parents were getting assaulted by their now middle aged Downs children who had violent tempers and could not be controlled. It was a heartbreaking situation. The “ kids” eventually ended up in group homes.
There’s no problem a casual murder can’t solve.
