ARLINGTON HEIGHTS ILLINOIS TO ALLOW GUN CONTROL RECRUITERS AT CRIME PREVENTION EVENT
We just got word that the Arlington Heights Park District will allow the BLOOMBERG MOMS to set up a recruitment booth at the National Night Out event.
National Night Out is supposed to be a non-partisan, non-political public service event that informs citizens on how not to become a victim of crime.
Arlington Heights has now turned National Night Out into a GUN CONTROL event by allowing the Moms' recruiters to have a booth at the event.
Of course, no pro-gun organizations will be allowed to have a booth at the event.
I would not go near the “Arlington Heights Park District” on this night. The drive by shooters will use it as target practice.
The Arlington Heights Police Chief is anti-gun except unless the guns are in the hands of the dog killers.
Suburban reaction seems mixed to a proposal by Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle to fine people who don’t report in a timely manner that their firearms are missing or stolen.
“Arlington Heights Police Chief Gerald Mourning said he supports the proposal and stricter gun laws nationwide.”

An Arlington Heights man is suing his local police department after officers came to his home and confiscated his antique firearms and his valid Illinois firearms ID card (FOID card) without a warrant following a session the man had with a therapist.
When I was a kid growing up in Arlington Heights
in the fifties, it was a great little town. Kids could go anywhere, and did. The Western Automotive stores sold
rolling block rifles by the barrel at 5 bucks apiece.
The VFW had a big rack out front for hunters to hang
their deer on during deer season and you would see plaid
nation congregating out front telling their tales and
having a snort.
We moved away in the early 60s and I’m glad I don’t live
there now, thank god for states like Georgia where PC
dictatorship hasn’t quite taken over yet.
Mayor Arlene J. Mulder, Arlington Heights, Illinois
Member: MAIG Mayors Against Guns
Left office in 2013.
Unknown if current mayor is a member of the Bloomberg gun grabbers.
There are no drive bys in AH. I lived there for 15 years.
It is a middle-to-upper middle class community that is purple/liberal Republican thanks to suburban soccer moms.
Did ISRA actually request a booth at the event and were turned down?
If so, seems that would be grounds for a lawsuit & injunction.
