Do you remember his story about the pilot who crashed? He had a woman with him and, well, let’s just say that the cause of the crash was determined by what was found in her mouth!
I believe Lewis closed the story with, “Oh my God.”

Lewis died 20 years ago, Lordy, I’m feel’in old!
I remember him as a sovereign remedy to the popular deprecation of the South by the rest of the country. Remember the image of the fat, corrupt Southern Sheriff? Jackie Gleason did not create it, he just played on it (Smokey and the Bandit)! There were a lot of the same in that time, getting dates at your family reunion, dumb recruits coming from the South and the like. Lewis took a lot of that and made ALL OF US laugh, God Bless and I’m sure he is smiling down on us right now!
