Mark Levin: We Couldn't Have Won World War II Under Current Circumstances

MARK LEVIN: I really don't think we could have won World War II under the current circumstances. I really don't think we could have won World War II. We have a media in this country that roots for the enemy. We have a Democrat party in this country that roots for the enemy. These rules that are now applied to war -- I'm talking about our own men and women in uniform in Afghanistan, in Iraq previous to that -- are so absurd, so confining, so self-defeating.

You know we now have commanders responding to civilian leadership that is so whacked out that we have men and women in uniform, in combat, who are expected to die before they kill the enemy in a certain way. In a certain way. You're only allowed to fight in a certain way. There is no way we would've won World War II with generals and admirals of the sort we have today with a president of the kind we have today, quite frankly with a George W. Bush. There's no way. With the media we have today, which maybe reporting Information about our movements.

Well having a covert Islamic enemy agent as POTUS sure doesn't help.

What’s left of the world would be speaking German or Russian right now ... and that may yet come. This time it will be either Russian or Chinese. In either case there won’t be many liberals left after the upcoming (and inevitable)war. Any that survive the war will be eliminated by the remaining conservatives

"We Couldn't Have Won World War II Under Current Circumstances"...and where would we be now?

North America would have become a battle ground between Hitler and Tojo.

Death camps and Baatan-like death marches would have become commonplace.

Millions would have been exterminated.

Do the American people really think such a scenario as this could not happen now--in the future?

I don’t think we’d have won WWII in the 40’s if Hitler hadn’t opened the eastern front.

Webster defines WAR as “the state or fact of exerting VIOLENCE or force against another, now only against a state or other organized body”

If you want to have a non-violent war
you`re living in lala land

Is Mark slipping he repeated himself, the media and the democrat party root for the enemy.

Mark, they are the same and one, at the risk of repeating myself.

Heck, with what nObama has done to the military, neither side could win the Civil War under current circumstances.

I agree. We can’t fight any war and expect an enduring peace once we have won it. Our people just don’t have what it takes. Best we don’t involve ourselves in international affairs until that changes, if ever.

It also depends on what we think we’re fighting for. There was never a point at which the Vietnamese or Iraqis were ever a direct threat to the United States. Even when we WERE attacked, it was by mostly Saudis.

Fighting, and dying to save your homeland is one thing; fighting and dying for “national prestige”, “Peace with Honor” or “war on Terror” or “nation building: is another.

Some people nowadays would only construe “victory” as America being the worlds most powerful nation, the sole superpower. The mindset that not only do we have to have the best army on earth, it has to be as strong as the next three or four armies put together. We can’t afford that anymore.

If anyone thinks most Americans are going to give up lives and treasure to prevent an Islamic Caliphate in a region where most of the inhabitants would just as soon have exactly that, or to fight another ‘cold war’, they are mistaken.

In WW2 we were fighting for our survival, if we were in an actual war (DECLARED, against a definable enemy nation state who had attacked us first, not a “war on terror” or a pre emptive strike or a police action or nation building but getting back to the Powell Doctrine against another nation or nations) we would kick ass and easily win it.

We aren’t in a war; we are in a moral and political struggle against Islam as a political/cultural (death cult) force on one side and against the economic and geopolitical entity of China assuming what they perceive as their rightful role as an economic superpower on the other.

I’m half of the mind that we should let the Arabs put a Caliphate together. A) that’s what the vast majority of them would probably be happier with than anything we Americans recognize as any sort of government, and B) we’d have one identifiable enemy to fight rather than a matrix of shifting, and shifty nation/tribes.

The last several administrations squandered not so much any mythical goodwill of other nations as the faith and patience of the American people.

We could still go and kill people and break things anywhere in the world and then come home if we had to; more than that is something I think there is no more money or will to do on the part of the people.

I wonder too, about if we could win World War II today, considering that we have exported so much of our industrial base overseas.

In World War II, much industry was converted to supplying the war effort. We still have many car factories, but so much other industrial production capacity is gone. Would we be able to supply the war effort as we did then, with the diminished industrial base we have now?

Half the American people have embraced the doctrines of the people our grandfathers fought.

WW2 Americans didn’t murder half their own children.WW2 Americans were overwhelmingly proud of this nation and willing to work .WW2 Americans believed in God and His Commandments.

Roberr J. Dole once called WW2 a “Democrat war” but then hailed FDR. He was covering his KS bases.

Could not win because we exported all our factories to Germany, China and Japan.

We couldn’t have won WWII as ill-prepared as we were before Pearl Harbor...but after the tragedy of Pearl, the sleeping giant awoke, got busy, geared up and won the war. Right now we look like we did before Pearl...the libs have deactivated us militarily in spite of the ominous warnings of the time. But what is the price we must pay this time to wake up again? People are going to have to die to shake us from our slumber ...people we know and love...then we will awaken and throw off the liberalism once again as we did before. When you KNOW history repeats, all you can do is shiver and wait for the blood that must be lost...again...and again...and again...

Several years before Pearl Harbor, the US had instituted the draft and ramped up military production.
