"This is really a shock. I didn't expect it, said Albuquerque resident, Rein Whitt-Pritchette. "I've been in Albuquerque since 1971. I rarely have ever seen that kind of rain before."

Albuquerque needed some rain, but maybe a little more spread out than this.

We’ve been getting some good rain storms up here on the Chama, along with cool weather.

I thought that area of the country was suffering a drought.\

Even saw a map of the drought areas.

Well yes, and heavy rainfall doesnt really help a drought either. But any rain is good. We have been having some good rain here in Phoenix too, some flooding but nothing like what Albuquerque has been getting.

This all just started happening. There have been nightly rain storms for about the last 10 - 14 days with a LOT of rain falling quickly. The past 3 days have seen some real flooding issues.

There was an Albuquerque Isotopes baseball game yesterday and the field and dugouts were flooded so they called out the fire department to help pump water and one of the local news stations to have their helicopter come help dry off the field.
