Man, 21, kills himself trying to take gun selfie

A vet who posed with a gun for a selfie died shortly after shooting himself in the head by accident.
Oscar Aguilar showed off on Facebook by posting photos of himself in front of sports cars, sitting on motorbikes and hugging attractive women.
But the Mexican’s desire to impress proved his downfall when he borrowed the gun and snapped himself waving it about.
Neighbour Manfredo Paez, 57, said: ‘I heard a gunshot and then I heard somebody screaming.’
The 21-year-old died on the way to hospital in Mexico City.
He had failed to realise the gun was loaded, police said.

-Where did he get a handgun in Mexico? (Legally, that is).
-By “Vet” do they mean a U.S. veteran, a Mexican Army veteran, or are they talking about a veterinarian?
-You would think someone with military service would have had enough practical experience with firearms to know not to wave a gun around like a jackwagon. ALWAYS TREAT A GUN AS IF IT WERE LOADED.

I noticed this evening 11PM News Sun, when ‘they’ were reporting a bunch of stabbings in DC (think 4 people at a night club) and a separate incident where one of the actors from ‘The Wire’ was stabbed.
It got me to thinking, I haven’t heard of ANY shootings in DC since the ‘allow to carry - if legal’ law was reinstated - then they got a stay.
Not sure of any significance, but it does seem timely.....
