BATTLE IN THE STATES: NYT DOCUMENTS IMPENDING GOP TAKEOVER OF STATEHOUSES NATIONWIDE
Breitbart ^ | 8/12/2014 | MATTHEW BOYLE

Recess is in full force in Washington, D.C., as national lawmakers vacation around the country, but both political parties are fighting intense political battles on the ground in states nationwide as several statehouses are up for grabs in what’s shaping up to be a landslide pro-GOP election year.

“Republicans, who had appeared to hit a high-water mark in control of statehouses in recent years, are seeking to pick off another half-dozen chambers this year, taking advantage of President Obama’s persistent unpopularity, anxiety about the economy, and a history of anemic turnout among Democrats in nonpresidential election years,” the New York Times’ Adam Nagourney wrote in a piece filed from Las Vegas, Nevada. “In addition, the party that controls the White House almost always loses seats in statehouses in those years.”

Nagourney noted that states where the GOP could take over state senates included Nevada, Colorado, Iowa, Oregon and Maine, and states where Republicans could win state houses include Kentucky, New Hampshire and West Virginia.

Unless they are conservatives, this means NOTHING. The uniparty works hand in glove. You also have to have the governor be a conservative. Remember Arizona’s resident hag vetoing religious freedom to kowtow to the sodomite lobby?

We already have control in Michigan but the primary numbers for republican races were considerably higher than democrats.

Even if… why should I consider this good news?
It's not like the Republican party stands for anything at all.

A landslide? Karl, quick, throw your usual wrench in the works. You know, the one that snatches defeat from the jaws of victory...

Watch as conservatives take England, France, Spain, Italy, Germany and Sweden. Even Russia will turn right. Next we boot out the RINOs and purify the GOP.

I was quite happy to see the candidate to represent my district is a big supporter of personal property rights and more important, he opposes this rural council crap. (He’s a farmer)

My former rep was nominated to run for the state senate and he is the one who introduced the RTW legislation in Michigan in 2011 which eventually became law.

And THESE Republicans, unlike the namby-pamby limp-wristed, Obama-lovin’ K-Street Republicans in Congress, are usually REAL Conservatives.

It’s still a longshot when you factor fraud and RAT politics in, but it still looks possible here in IL. Pat Quinn is trying the “rich guy” attacks just like they did against Romney.

They’re a lot closer to the people. It also explains why the US house is so much more conservative than the US senate.

I hope we can pick off enough State legislatures that we have a lock on Convention of States.

The fourth comment at the source, "Come on, baby! CONVENTION OF THE STATES!" generated several replies.

Despite support from his psycho-media allies, Obama has the worst poll ratings of any modern president. The economy stinks, Obamacare is a disaster, He gathers despotic powers daily, and his administrative bureaucrats lord over the states and people like petty tyrants.

The Convention of States will meet a few weeks after the midterms. Our timing couldn't be better.

Get serious. As bad as many GOPers are, they’re universally better than the Democrats.
