A shipwreck and a bottle of booze - was a Kennedy somehow involved?

***
I am guessing no Kennedy was involved since the bottle isn’t empty.

“A shipwreck and a bottle of booze - was a Kennedy somehow involved?”

Why? Was there the body of a girl in the back of the ship?

I’d try it.

I once drank a bottle of some french wine that was from 1771.

Was found in a shipwreck.

My idiot friend had just sold one of his companies and asked how we should celebrate.

“Since yer asking me how to spend your capital gains, would be kewel to eat at Le Bec Fin and order a wine older than the country”.

He called me an idiot.

Two weeks later we were at the Four Seasons Philadelphia.

Called my room and told me to suit up for dinner.

Limo dropped us off at Le Bec Fin. On the way over we destroyed a bottle of Oban. He had the driver take us down to the museum past the Rodin Museum, Liberty Bell and few other sites.

By the time we got there we were well on our way to brain damage.

We were seated and the sommelier came over and discussed something.

He comes back with a beautiful high wine roller, lights a candle and shows off this wine bottle.

Looked beat to me but, I was well on my way and didnt care.

So he lets the wine “breathe” for 20 minutes, then pours us a nice drink.

My friend wants to know what I think.

“You really should let me choose from now on. You damn near blew $3,000 at Daniels last month”

Another friend thought it tasted awful, I thought it tasted like dust. Apparently it there was mold on the cork.

Daniel was gracious and gave us another bottle free.

Love Daniels.

Anyway, back to this bottle we were drinking.

My friend hits me across the shoulder and stats laughing really hard.

“You A-hole. That cost me $20,000 grand” he laughs.

I laugh back and remark “Yeah? Well, your taste is all in your mouth!”.

He then starts laughing really hard and blurts out “I orderd (I don’t recall) it is from (some shipwreck) and 1771. Just what you ordered. You better like it! Cost me $20,000!”.

“Yeah? FU! I could have ordered better tasting anything and a couple hookers for that but, hey! Pretty effin kewel to drink something older than the United States! Excellent! “.

The sommelier had some guy who knew the story behind the wine and he was pretty colorful.

Was a pretty kewel experience.

Absolut, seltzer, and a splash of lime is OK.

The stuff in this bottle may not be.

The crew probably found 10 bottles but only reported one. “Oh, yeah, the others ones were already empty. Honest.”
