Sancudo = “No see um” in Navajo

Sand flies? They were always a problem on our trips to Honduras, nasty SOB's that made you itch for weeks.......

We tried every bug repellent known to man and the best I found was called Cactus Juice.

One product is a sunscreen and the other is a skin moisturizer that also helps to reduce the itching.......

Yes - it’s good to keep aloe plants dry.

I was a bit dubious about aloe. Then I got a bee sting. It stopped the hurt almost immediately. It is very good for burns but the sooner you get it on the affected area the better.

What also works extremely well for bug bites is the herb plantain. Search it for picture, you’ll recognize it immediately, it grows everywhere. All you have to do is pick a leaf, bruise it between your hands and rub it on the bite. Works very well for all insect bites/stings, many skin irritations, etc.

Two years ago today, my birthday, I came home from a beach motel on Cape Cod and developed a horrible, insidious skin condition that I still have lingering effects to this day.
Started out as a lot of small, hard bumps and rash.
At first I thought it might of been poison oak or something.

I get nothing from the dermatologists, the first prognosis was probable Scabies, great...
A third worlder probably slept in the bed the night before.
