Most of them would have meowed loudly already, thinking their caretaker slow in the wits. “Sheesh!! look at what I have to do to get some attention.”
My tortie siamese mix will put her paw on my kindle, blocking the screen when I am surfing the net (usually FR). Sometimes she will also meow to punctuate the point. Pay attention to ME!

Tortie and Siamese...wow, can I nominate you for a medal? I have a tortie and a cst with some Siamese in her ancestry, and the thought of both of their pushier personality traits merged into a single cat is *scary*.
It’s gotten easier. Until a few months age she had a twin sister. However, more different personalities in cats I’ve never seen. The one that passed away last winter was a loving, friendly little girl. Her sister, according to my vet is “a furry little slice of evil”. He automatically got out the owl-handling gloves when she came in the door. She can be very loving too, but on HER terms.

hasn’t yet made an art of subtlety. Then again, we’re talking munchies, not lovin’.
well, you would probably lose the bet. I have a tuxedo girl cat and she is so fond of petting that she does the same routine of tapping and rubbing to get me to keep petting her. We watch football together ... she doesn’t take sides.
