Rossi LENR device (E-Cat) validated by 3rd Party Panel

ABSTRACT

New results are presented from an extended experimental investigation of anomalous heat production in a special type of reactor tube operating at high temperatures. The reactor, named E-Cat, is charged with a small amount of hydrogen-loaded nickel powder plus some additives, mainly Lithium. The reaction is primarily initiated by heat from resistor coils around the reactor tube. Measurements of the radiated power from the reactor were performed with high- resolution thermal imaging cameras. The measurements of electrical power input were performed with a large bandwidth three-phase power analyzer. Data were collected during 32 days of running in March 2014.

The reactor operating point was set to about 1260ºC in the first half of the run, and at about 1400 °C in the second half. The measured energy balance between input and output heat yielded a COP factor of about 3.2 and 3.6 for the 1260ºC and 1400ºC runs, respectively. The total net energy obtained during the 32 days run was about 1.5 MWh. This amount of energy is far more than can be obtained from any knownchemical sourcesin the small reactor volume.

A sample of the fuel was carefully examined with respect to its isotopic composition before the run and after the run, using several standard methods:XPS, EDS, SIMS, ICP-MS and ICP-AES. The isotope composition in Lithium and Nickel was found to agree with the natural composition before the run, while after the run it was found to have changed substantially.

Nuclear reactions are therefore indicated to be present in the run process, which however is hard to reconcile with the fact that no radioactivity was detected outside the reactor during the run...

This is as important an advancement for humanity as the invention of steam power. This technology is directly usable to replace combustion for large industrial uses. It also would be a replacement for burning coal in power plants as well as in ships and railroad locomotives. It will take some time to find how to use this power source in more compact applications like auto engines. Consider what will happen to Arab economies that depend upon oil revenue to buy food such as Libya and Saudi Arabia.

I, for one, would be happy to obtain a LENR coffee maker for ~$30.

Yeah, if Solar or Wind power were real possibilities the political left would find something to not like about them. The object is never to improve the human condition but to control humans for their own good by a small group of leftist elites.

What happened to the Kevmo guy that used to hustle the E-Cat. I believed and have been searching Lowes every week for a replacement for my Predator 5000 generator, coffee maker or even a hand warmer.

If I don’t see something soon I will be very disheartened and will attribute the E-Cat to the Magic and Witchcraft bin of failed possibilities.

What happened to the Kevmo guy that used to hustle the E-Cat.

He was vaporized by the Big Cat.

and imagine if the dumbass would just file a patent already and release the technology so thousands of other researchers could improve upon it...

Oh, and collect $billions ...

If it’s real I’d love to have something that gets me off my local utility. I’d buy one for 24/7 operation and another for a swap-in backup.

"I, for one, would be happy to obtain a LENR coffee maker for ~$30."

Not EXACTLY what you're looking for, but you could buy this and hook it up to power a conventional coffee maker:

Wondered why he (thankfully) disappeared, but looks like a plague of Kevmo clones decided to post a bunch of this LENR BS today. Hope someone puts a stop to it if it keeps happening. I rarely complain to the mods here, but did complain a few times about the LENR crap.

Huh? I don't see the harm in allowing folks to discuss subjects that interest them. Granted, the forum ought not be used to host discussions of a degraded or immoral nature, but anything else should be game.

Like a lot of others here, I have a lifelong interest in scientific advancements of all sorts. Some lines of research and development don't pan out, but that's no reason to forbid simple discussion about them.

It can't hurt, and in fact, might lead to fully confirming or debunking some theories. There are some highly educated folks who chime in on such topics, and I've learned a thing or two from them.

I say, carry on!

The patent office issued a ruling in the aftermath of Pons-Fleischmann that LENR patent applications were no more welcome than perpetual motion machine applications.

Hence, the work has to be carried out as trade secret. There are, however, open source LENR efforts in the birthing stage.

They’re not asking for money. These evil capitalists are doing the research and development on their own dime so that they get to keep all the profits.
