For example, because of high energy prices, 41 percent of seniors went without medical or dental care, 30 percent of seniors went without food for at least a day, 33 percent did not fill a prescription or took less than their full dose, 22 percent were unable to pay their energy bill because of medical expenses, and 25 percent became sick because their home was too cold. …

Just wait till the EPA cuts off the electricity by shutting down the coal fired generators. Grandma will be freezing in the dark, but in some swanky high-rise, a Sierra Club member will be cozy and feeling smug about saving the earth.

I have a relative who used to go to Russia in the summer to deliver Bibles. He spoke of older people who would come to the church. They could choose to pay their rent or eat.

The future’s not so far away. This promises to be another cold winter. The EPA is shutting down coal power plants. How many of our seniors will freeze in the dark?

Looks to me like that is the plan. I am not kidding. No one wants to believe it. By reducing the senior population via the death panel and excessive power bills, Obama can beat his chest and say to his followers “look how Obamacare has reduced the cost of your health insurance”.
I know a couple around 66 on SS and they can’t make it. The man was a mechanic and had his hand mangled and the wife has a lot of health problems. They are moving in an 80 yr old who is on her own and needs help and they think they can make it with her paying rent and a third of the bills and they can take care of her.
I’m 82 years old——and VERY lucky as far as finances go.
Things are tough enough at my age-—I can’t imagine not being able to afford medical care,food,or fuel.
I pray for them.

Well, I’ve gone without dental care because of the HIGH COST of dental care.
