Meet the Chuck aka Meet The Press has a new format and it is incredibly awkward. Despite its official name, Meet The Press, the guests don't actually Meet The Press. Instead, host Chuck Todd conducts the interviews while the panelists sit uselessly at a table in the background. Yesterday's show was notable because one of the panelists sitting at the table in the background while Todd was hogging the interviews, was the NBC news anchor for over 20 years, Tom Brokaw.
So how did Brokaw like being relegated to being just another panelist in the background as Todd conducted his interviews? Well, judging from this video clip (and below) he wasn't pleased at all and expressed his displeasure by pointedly ignoring Todd when he returned to the "kiddies table" after his first interview.

Todd sounds like an eigth grader running for class president....when there is no such thing as an 8th grade class president.
So I guess Brokaw never watched the show in its original format in the 1950s?
I don’t watch these shows but that sounds really annoying
I can’t stand the show or Upchuck, but Tom really needs to go away. If he doesn’t like the format he should just quit. I’m sure he doesn’t need the job except for the false feeling of relevance it probably gives him.
The Democrats who do not approve of anything Obama is doing TO America, can switch, and join the GOP. The GOP RINOs in DC are now identical to the old Democratic party. The new Democratic party is the party of the 60s radicals, drug users, commies, socialists, etc.
It is the true Conservative who has no place to go now.
That must be why the IRS, Lois L, Eric Holder, Obama worked so hard to silence the TEA PARTY. We have no place to go.
Our senator Ted Cruz can’t do it all by himself! John Cornyn is a RINO.
Meet the Depressed is still on the air?
If a Brokaw falls in the forest, does anyone give a sh!t?
However, one good thing may come of this; the MSM’s realization by the former rational people in the leftist media, have been taken over by the radical left. In their attempt to smear Bush, unreasonably, it has now come to this; the radical left took the bait and have become even more rabid. When you support books and plays about killing the president, your train is definitely off the rails.
Hmmmmm ..?? What goes around comes around.
As for diverting attention so it is focused on “Chuck”, that is just part of the new radical left.
I have never watched that program, and I never will.
Unlike the Marxists we don’t want this President assassinated.
Pray America wakes
I grew so tired of watching Brokaw when he was anchor. The last liberal agenda piece he would either give a liberal thumbs up nod or a harrumph expression, according to the gods of political correctness. I warned my parents that the networks had an agenda and that it was anti us and anti christian, but my dad did not understand.
Then, he goes on to make money praising the greatest generation after he profited over the trashing of our culture.
He should just go away!
Brokaw was able to appeal to flyover country, despite his elite progressive biased views. Whereas Williams and Todd come off as total DC/NY liberals.
I totally agree .. in fact that has been a major concern for me .. I was afraid the rapid left would try to do that and blame it on the right - in order to start their race war.
I do hope the American people realize that the current left has been trying to start a race war beginning in 2000.
The media needs a House of Lords to stick their aged-out, patrician deans. I think what’s going on here is that Browkaw is busy admiring his own perfect profile in the studio monitor and priding himself that he never had to grow facial hair to give himself gravitas. His voice alone was enough to sustain a career in broadcasting.
To be fair, Brokaw is really old and was probably confused.
Brokaw was born in Webster, South Dakota, a town of about 2,000 in a rural part of the state (of course 99% of the state is rural). That may be why he could appeal to flyover country.
Tom Brokaw to the rest of the panel > “Hey guys, look at what that squirrel is doing”
