Everyone should KNOW that the Pope stands with Jesus, but....I, for one, am wondering.

The railing guys are here! Woo-woo! The project will be done TODAY. I will have a handrail to use on my front porch. It’s looking fab already.

It’s October. It doesn’t really matter.

“In her hands the curtains rustle; she hangs silks purchased this morning on Princess Road, color stirring pavonine in the lamplight of her bedroom.”

Odd. pavonine is an adjective. Clearly the author is trying to apply it to the visage of the ensemble of hanging silks. Yet the awkward wording makes it almost look like “color-stirring” is the adjective and pavonine should be a noun.
With definition substituted it would look like this
“In her hands the curtains rustle; she hangs silks purchased this morning on Princess Road, color stirring peacock appearance in the lamplight of her bedroom.”

I suppose it is artistic literary license, or just me, but this would seem much better wording to me.
“In her hands the curtains rustle; she hangs silks purchased this morning on Princess Road, with color-stirring-pavonine (peacock appearance) in the lamplight of her bedroom.”

Further, “color-stirring” and pavonine are somewhat redundant.

Sr. Bridg expounded on this last spring. The 10 commandments were something that they could not live up to, so Jesus came and died for us. Doesn’t mean they are optional, just that we couldn’t live within the rules so we got a Saviour. Sr. went all the way back to our Jewish roots on this topic and I could have listened for hours. Fascinating stuff. She discussed circumcision and baptism....all apsects of the topic that I never even dreamed of. Can’t even summerize it very well.

That's how I would have phrased it. Welcome to WFTD!

It rained a bit last night, but not enough to stop us almost completing a little fence job before it got too warm-maybe tomorrow we’ll be done...

Michelle Antoinette’s dresses
In their garish pavonine hues
Get her the same attention as
Her ridiculous dietary views-

It shows her glaring ignorance
Of good fit or sense of style-
Maybe she thinks it’s fashion
If it is visible for a mile

She don’t get that her lunches
Would be ignored by your cat
Or that bright print clothing
Just makes her ass look fat...

“Pope Francis is fond of creating a mess”-

I’ve gotten to the point that I’m not even shocked by any of what he says any more-I just keep hoping those who actually pay attention to Church teachings will prevail in the end-why would anyone in their right mind think this nonsense is beneficial to faith?

We were reviewing a presentation for next week’s meeting and my boss reads my “demonstrable” as “demonstratable.”

The group questions my spelling and I have to inform them that “demonstrable” is the actual word. Apparently, it’s a “CMU word.”

It looks great-the black railing is a nice contrast to the brick and concrete.

I don’t think I’d let him put up any lights until after Thanksgiving...
