I’ll take your word for it. Guy said it weighed in at 250 pounds undressed and the rest was an estimate.

The boy will receive some type of pat ch from the state of Maine for his kill. Recognition of some sort which is really nice for a boy that age.

It depends upon the size of your land (can you have a deer stand in town) and your municipality. We live on 12 acres (in a city) and a local hunter gets the signatures of adjoining property owners to allow him to hunt — both gun and bow. He keeps a deer stand here permanently. The gun season is only open for a week and he is restricted to shotgun, only.

So far all we have in the freezer are the two deer Beau hit with the truck - as well as the young STEER he hit that was milling around in the road last week...

I’m not sure where we’ll put the meat if he actually SHOOTS a deer this season!

My husband hunts on a private reserve in Missouri, and the whole party got skunked this year. They only hunt trophies, so I was glad I don’t need any more antlers on the wall and neither does my daughter in law.

The Ridgeway Farm is filled to the BRIM with trophies. Elk. Bear. Deer. Heads, racks, half-mounts coming out of the wall to scare the cr@p outta ya. Rugs, capes...you name it!

I have one MEASLY (though handsome!) six-point buck mount on the wall of my Dining Room.

But that’s what sealed the deal when we first started dating...

FIRST ya gotta be a smarter, ‘huntress’ than your, ‘prey.’

Just sayin’... ;)

Wow! You’ve got to have ceilings that high to display such riches. 8 ft. ceilings just don’t cut it!
