I thought his performance in the series Fargo was amazing

I agree. That series was so much better than the film. My favorite scene, however, is a very small scene between Billy Bob Thornton's character (Malvo) and Keith Carridine (playing the father of the police detective) at the diner, with Malvo ordering a piece of apple pie.

It was a small scene, yet with two pros doing it, it was so thoroughly entertaining.

Out of the shadows—and into the surf! It’s Beren the Barbarian on his bitchin’ board and his singin’, dancin’, guitar-playin’ Goth girlfriend Luthien the Luthier starring in Beach Blanket Beleriand!

“Wow! Two of them! And so beautiful! We’re Silmarillionaires!”

#7 In the old days a name such as Benedict Cumberbatch would have been changed to John Wayne (Marion Robert Morrison) or Cary Grant (Archibald Alexander Leach).

Fun Fact: John Cleese's character in "A Fish Called Wanda" was named Archibald Leach.
