You were really in the vortex. I am so glad you wrote me back. When I walk on campus, I will talk with my husband about your vivid recollections. You were “fortunate” enough to live in “interesting times” at U of A.
And about the mini skirts, I am glad you were about to focus past the distractions;)

I get confused. I love Panama and I even started a Pinterest board where I collect pictures of Ancon, Old Canal neighborhoods, and military housing around the world. If you have any, it would be great if you posted them here.
My regret was that when we were there to search out expat possibilities, we did not go to (Fort) Clayton.
Now making my home in Arizona, I like the play with variations on the name because of the cool letter “Z.” So, I still refer to myself, to myself as a Zonian, who wishes she was once a ‘Zonian.”

No worries, just having a little fun with Arizon(ians)...
I know a few Zonians who have returned to Panama and the results are a bit mixed...some have no problems, others have their homes robbed if they ever leave the premises...depends on where one lives I guess.
Gamboa, which is situated at about the middle of the Canal Zone, along the Chagres River, is probably a pretty safe bet...
Pretty much all of my pics are from fellow travelers...haven’t gone through the old family albums to scan what we have...need to though.
And when you send them ( which I look so forward to), please tell me the stories behind them. I would love to post them on my Pinterest board with notes, if you don’t mind. Or we shall just enjoy them here on FR.
