How frigid is the weather where you are? It is cloudy and 33 here-it was 22 this morning when I went to make sure my forms were still covered up-they were. There is rain and sleet predicted to start late tomorrow-I will get out early again, do all work and other errands fast, and plan to stay put till Sunday.

I saw that article about Mia Love yesterday and was disgusted, too-and I noticed it is almost always the same people who deny simple logic and good sense, throwing verbal tantrums and insults because everything they want isn’t the law of the land-what part of “liberty and freedom” do they not get? If they are so pure, let them form up their very own party, since third parties of the my-way-or-the-highway kind are so successful on both sides of the political spectrum...

Is "call me Senator" a solecsim? Ma'am is retiring at the end of her term.

It was zero here this morning. Actually I'm by the lake so it was seven this morning. And now it is 12 degrees out.

You are right in calling them unappeasable. But I understand people wondering why it can’t be easier to get rid of the deadwood. The real world outside the beltway does it every day.

He had the gift of long enough to see his kids become successful and to meet his grandkids. That is a life well-lived.

Don't forget Kerry, who imagines himself a savant, and could not even pronounce first year French in his speech, which was also full of inaccurate history references. A++ for you.
It is a balmy 22 here with wind chill of 13. My chickens are trying to shake it off, huddled up together in the sun.

Ma’am’s got to go. Not so much a solecism when she did that. It was just plain rude. A+ for you and for posting happy news.

$1000 seems excessive for some plywood.

Thank you! I’d forgotten about Kerry, but he is another one who never gets called on anything inane of stupid he says.

I wish the sun would come out here-just an hour of sunshine would warm things up a bit.

Yep. The full face helmet arrived just in time.No gloves keep my fingertips warm.

The dogs have taken to pooping in the snow, without leaving the porch.

Ugh.

I’m almost drooling for one of those nice steaks I got at a bargain at the butcher shop-so to hell with the weather-I’m going out to light the grill-if the charcoal stays lighted, I will be grilling a steak to go with my fresh spinach...

Well, it’s cold here, but I got a primo parking spot right in front of Target so I got to scoot out without gloves on. I am still smug. LOL

"Nine times warmer than it was this morning!"

That would kill you, you know. Your "zero" is not what you think it is.

Now I am craving a spinich salad with grilled chicken on it. A few glazed walnuts and some craisins...or better yet, some fresh strawberries. And I just went out to lunch for a salad. This diet is gonna kill me!

You are “absolutely” correct.

That was humor on my part.
