Formerly the "Fans of Quinn and Rose Discussion" thread. We still hold out hope that our favorite talk show hosts will come back on the air - and all indications are that they will be, very soon! As we wait, our friendly group will still meet to start the day. I did NOT watch #DearLeader—did PuppyBowl instead—not only because he makes my BP rise (thats what the snack were for!!!) but I did not want to taint NEW TV (happy dance!!! We finally got a 55” a Vizio from good sale at Target) w/his image. We spent the snowy afternoon building the tv stand. I didn’t care about the game...but the commercials. Yoi and double you!
#Merica has lost its sense of humor...preachy ads like Jeeps “This Land Is Your Land” but using MultiCultural “world images” of course w/a longer pause on the smiling girl w/the head scarf; the daddy issues ads—for the record one of my least favorite songs ever “Cats In The Cradle”); creepy ads (Walter White as a “druggist); and the macabre Nationwide “dead kid” ad. And the worst (for me) “Like A Girl” (victimhood we are all victims) a close second to the NEVER FUNNY SARAH Silverman (and some blonde whose name I can never remember) “Sorry It’s A Boy.”
BEST ADS -> BestBuds from Budwieser ; I Didnt Choose the Fanny Pack Life, the Fanny Pack Life Chose Me; Dodge 100 Anniversary; and Doritos “When Pigs Fly” (featuring a smart little boy—take that SARAH Silverman).
And Katy Perry—Meh!

Thanks..I kept going to twitter and missed a lot of the commercials..we have a 57 inch Hatachi rear projection from a friend but it seems so dark at times..
I agree!!! (Lol!) but I’m ALWAYS please when it’s Punxatawney Phil who gets the most attention...those “other” rodents are ALL “wannabes”
We had been using a 37 as our “big” TV (youngest son has a 24 and his brother takes his 24 to his dorm w/him). So for us, this is HUGE. PaDad loves watching the Pens (and Pirates on Root<-why we still have Comcast) and it was so hard to see the puck on the 37. We had to get a bigger stand, found a nice cabinet at BigLots, but took forever to put together, so we “missed” yesterday’s hockey game. We all are looking forward to “seeing” the next game... Let’s Go Pens!
