They sound like the guests from hell-I’ve never been pleased with the behavior of guests who just drop by after years of not seeing them, whether they call or not. My 1st husband always said they were just using us as a rest stop and-hopefully-a free meal-and if they were really, really lucky a free room for the night. For some reason, they had all become liberal ass****s, too...
We almost always managed to get rid of them before they dug in for the evening-and MrT5 was very skilled at discouraging people like that to stay for more than one drink or glass of tea-it was one of the times I was glad I’d married a rude yankee from Seattle...

We have many friends from other parts of the country because we moved around a lot in the early years of our marriage. Most of them walk in, and we pick right up where we left off 20, 30, 40, 50 years ago. But these folks were something else.

This is a good thing. Better to detest what is detestable than to cherish what is churlish.
Wedding was awesome. Lots of great pictures. Will have to get on a real computer to share. Will do Monday morning.
