Hamilton was not a president

Neither was Benjamin Franklin, but both were very instrumental in the creation of this Nation.

I would prefer Sacajawea. She really did become almost indispensable to the Lewis and Clark expedition. She also preferred to live with White People and moved to St. Louis. She died of fever while still young.

Lewis and Clark was an interesting endeavor, but in the overall scheme of things, was it really essential to the nation?

Considering Washington, Lincoln, Hamilton, Jackson, Grant and Franklin, what business does Sacajawea have being put next to this Pantheon? Not even Lewis or Clark should be regarded as their peer.

It’s not that I oppose putting a woman on currency. It’s that we honored President Hamilton with the $10 bill. And to take it away from Hamilton in order to honor someone else seems wrong.

And what woman in US History has the gravitas to be considered in the company of the least of the men who decorate our currency?

All the suggestions are pathetic in terms of real accomplishment and of significance to the nation.

Harriet Tubman? Equal to Hamilton? Not. Even. Close.

Eleanor Roosevelt? What did she ever do other than service Franklin Delano ? And probably that, not very satisfactorily.

A main qualification for appearing on a bill is the person must be deceased. If like to nominate Hildabeest or Mooch.

Are we in Switerland? They do votes on this stuff.

Who gives a hoot who’s on the money. It will be toilet paper pretty soon anyway.

Eleanor Roosevelt was the Hillary Clinton of her day. Hillary allegedly talked to Eleanor’s portraits in the White House.

While I don’t disagree with your point, I would favor changing the money more often. As long as the basic structure of the design stays the same, why not put out a new one every couple of years. And let’s add some color.

I don’t like Canada better than the US, but their money is pretty nice.

I hate what they do to fries though.

They want a “Woman of Color” on the money—see how good it did for the quater sized dollar coin? Stick with founding fathers—and when we get a woman president—maybe. Its too “POP” to go for a woman now—like tubman, or Elenor Roosevelt, or Rosa Parks. Might as well have Ella Fizgerald, or Aunt Jemimah. Stick with a founding father and if you want to go black—what about a black medal of honor winner from the Civil War?

This is another typically bad decision by a President who has a history of making bad decisions.

What should be done is bring back the Susan B. Anthony one dollar coin and cease making the paper ‘ones’. It didn’t work before because they didn’t cease making the paper versions.
