Woman Defends Planned Parenthood Selling Her “Aborted” Baby’s Body Parts: “It Was a Gift”

You know at this point Planned Parenthood should stop trying to justify their medical directors’ comments because it is really making everything much worse. As LifeNews preciously reported, Planned Parenthood’s CEO, Cecile Richards, came out in a video apologizing for their doctors “tone” and lack of compassion while discussing negotiations with a business called Stem Express that purchases aborted babies’ body parts for experimentation.

Richards said, “In the video, one of our staff members speaks in a way that does not reflect that compassion. This is unacceptable and I personally apologize for the staff member’s tone and statements. As always, if there’s ever any aspect of our work that can be strengthened, we want to know about it, and take swift action to address it.”

However, the abortion giant is also trying to spin the harvesting of fetal body parts from abortions as a good thing for society. In fact, on their website they recently shared the story of a woman named Linda, who had a D&C because her baby died and then donated her child’s organs.

SIGN THE PETITION! Congress Must Investigate Planned Parenthood for Selling Aborted Baby Parts

Here’s Linda’s story from the Planned Parenthood website:

I was 10 years into a very successful career, my marriage was six years strong, and I was pregnant for the first time. I was at the top of my game — until, at one of my routine checkups, my ob-gyn couldn’t hear our son’s heartbeat. She explained my baby had died and that she was going to schedule a D&C because my body had not naturally eliminated the pregnancy.

In that moment of total crisis for my husband and me, my doctor also asked us a question that helped transform this devastating loss into one with meaning: She asked if we wanted to donate the tissue to an important research project on trisomy 21, a genetic disorder they discovered he had.

All these years later, the loss of our son still brings me more pain than I could have ever imagined. But knowing that we had an option that could lead to scientific discoveries to prevent other couples’ suffering down the line was a gift back to us. Some people may say that my experience was different because my procedure was done to complete a miscarriage. But medically speaking, it was an abortion — in fact, “abortion” is the procedure listed on my discharge form from the hospital.

The woman’s comments are offensive to every woman and every couple who has experienced a miscarriage. A miscarriage is the tragic unintentional loss of an unborn baby, whereas an abortion is the purposeful act of terminating the life of a little baby before birth.

Unfortunately, the woman goes on to say Planned Parenthood should have the right to donate organs for research just like other medical facilities because it could ultimately save lives. But there is one big problem: Planned Parenthood is nothing like other medical facilities because they make big bucks off their abortion business.

Although Planned Parenthood likes to argue that abortions only make up 3% of their total services, in 2013, abortions made up 94% of Planned Parenthood’s pregnancy services. Additionally, during the 2013-2014 fiscal year, Planned Parenthood received more than $528 million in taxpayer funding, or more than $1.4 million per day, in the form of government grants, contracts, and Medicaid reimbursements. In other words, not only is Planned Parenthood getting lots of cash from American tax-dollars, they’re also making money on selling abortion to women.

Furthermore, in the video, Dr. Nucatola admits that they are receiving money from donating fetal parts. David Daleiden, the founder of the group Center for Medical Progress told CBS News, “Planned Parenthood is still receiving $50, $75, sometimes $100 per specimen per fetal part. So all of that is just straight up profit that goes to their bottom line.”

Shut up Planned Parenthood, I already know how you conned women into donating their fetal "tissue".

I am starting to get a strong affinity for the Dark Ages. They may not have had ipads or known how to read or write. But they had a clue about basic morality.

I wonder how many women are going to start engaging in this activity to pick up a little extra shopping money. God has left the building.

Linda should try to sell her own kidney and see what happens.

But not the living, breathing soul that would’vd been a gift to her, her family, and humanity.

Primitive cannibals are more possessed of morality than these ghouls.

How exactly is this an abortion. Real ham handed attempt at trying to justify selling fetal body parts.

Nice try ghouls.

It the tissue is ‘donated to science’, then why is Planned Parenthood SELLING the tissue.

That is the rub.

These researchers should be getting that ‘tissue’ for free.

I guess they’re trying to make PP seem all warm and fuzzy by recounting that first story. If a baby dies naturally, that’s one thing. Killing a baby intentionally, then trying to act righteous for donating that baby’s parts is another thing entirely. NOTHING warm and fuzzy about that.
