65.4 percent

The district serves 400,000 students. Students attend a particular school based on their area of residence except for charter schools and selective enrollment schools. The school system reported a graduation rate of 65.4 percent for the 2012–2013 school year.

Why, without going to link, am I not thinking computer language coding... but HEALTHSCARE INSURANCE CODE coding? We live in a culture dominated by 4 industries. 1) Government, 2)HealthScare (government), 3) Services, and 4)[in]Security.

I agree with you.

I was a programming tutor back in my college days. Regardless of how intelligent the person I was tutoring may have been in other topics, if their brain wasn't wired to think in discrete, predictable, and logical steps to perform a task, forget it.

And yes, a small percentage of the population have their brains wired this way. I would put it at 10 or 15% of the population -- I think that 30% is too generous.

It’s probably the same for many talents. A gifted musician may not be a great athlete. A great coder may not be a great poet. There are a few people who are multi-talented.
Having taught math for a few years I can tell you not everybody has that ability. Some have just about zero ability to understand what it’s all about.
