GRESHAM, Ore. – Dexter McCarty Middle School student Alan Holmes understands that his freedom is intricately tied to those who fought and died defending the United States of America.

His older brother joined the U.S. Marines when he was 19 years old and served a tour in Iraq, Fox 12 reports.

This only happens because the American people allow it. I fully understand that in life, there are so many things going on with work, raising a family, paying the bills, etc. Parents send their kids to school to learn. The education system long ago stopped educating. It has been indoctrinating for quite some time.

However, all of it can be stopped.

Electing the right people to the school boards. Running the Leftists out of those offices. Get back to teaching the 3 Rs, teach American history and be proud and grateful that you live in this country.

“or face in-school suspension

A what? Oh, the kid gets a suspension on his record but the school still gets to collect their per head money from the state and feds. Greedy bastards. If it was my kid I’d keep him home so they don’t get it.

This is the letter that I received from Amy Nimz after I wrote a scathing letter about their school regulations.

“Hello,

I recently received your email expressing your concerns, and wanted to share some background.

As you may know, recently a middle school student at Dexter McCarty Middle School in the Gresham-Barlow School District wore a t-shirt to school that had a rifle on it. Some news reports state the student was suspended. This was not the case nor was there a threat of suspension. The administration did talk with the student about the appropriateness of the image on his shirt. The parent of the student agreed to allow the student to go home after the student refused other options such as putting his sweatshirt back on which he removed part way through the day.

We are aware the rifle on the student’s t-shirt featured a Fallen Soldier Battle Cross, which is a symbol used to show respect for fallen troops. The message of the t-shirt, showing support for our country’s military, and their many sacrifices, is a positive one that we fully support. What called into question the appropriateness of the t-shirt in a middle school setting was the rifle included in the image.

While the district’s dress code does not allow clothing with images of weapons, in light of this situation, we will take a closer look at our policy. This is an opportunity to engage the community in a conversation about school safety and the age appropriate ways to express support for our military veterans in a school setting.

We the staff of Dexter McCarty Middle School and the Gresham-Barlow School District greatly appreciates the service provided to our country by the members of the United States military and the many sacrifices made by veterans and their families to defend our country.

Sincerely,

Amy Nimz
Assistant Principal

Also getting rid of school zero tolerance policies and dealing with stuff properlyon a case by case basis with comkon sense. Of course we are to assume not in a liberal way, but with genuine common sense. God given common sense.

“It’s all for the kids”...”We’ve done nothing wrong”...”Don’t blame us”

Vote in a new school board and send the skank packing. Have a t-shirt day where you have to wear something about the military or the NRA. Their heads would explode.

How times have changed. My Older Brother used to tale his .22 Rifle to High School. He was in the Shooting Club.

Did I mention this was in New York State in the late 1950’s?
