The movie “Kick Ass” made excellent use of the Banana Splits song. I won’t link to it because of the extreme language and violence. Hit Girl is cute kid, but she has a dark side ...
Yes to the Banana Splits
How about Sigmund and the Seamonster?
I am so sick of “fart” jokes that I find them just as offensive as real farts, more so actually.
Also of the hero hitting the bad guy in the crotch as if no one else ever thought of that trick.
I just said Sigmund and the Sea Monster.
Wow. I’m thinking like Darks. Yay!
How about Lidsville with Charles Nelson Reilly?.
The kids from just about all shows turned out bad except maybe “Leave it to Beaver”.
See post #26 for your answer.
Thanks chasio649.
Shazam!
Will they also bring back Sigmund the Sea Monster?
Hard to imagine anyone coming up with that stuff without a lot of chemical assistance. One thing's for sure, the Krofft brothers had a unique style. I remember visiting the Six Flags park near Atlanta in the '73 - '74 time frame, and seeing a pseudo Bre'r Rabbit attraction that was obviously designed by those guys. There were no signs identifying Sid and Marty as being responsible, I just *knew*.
Personally, "Lidsville" was my favorite Krofft show.
I see METV is gone with the wind.
The Flute.
Man, I wanted one of those 6-wheeler ATVs so badly!
The flute? Not he that toots the flute?
Mata Hari is too funny.
Recently they brought Cesar Milan’s son to Nick Jr with “Mutt and Stuff”. About dog school. My grandkids love it. Frankly, I was surprised the Krofts are still around!
About Mutt and Stuff:
“Nickelodeon has greenlighted an additional 20 episodes of Sid and Marty Kroffts Mutt & Stuff, bringing the total number of episodes to 40 for the first season.
Included in the 20-episode order is live-action special H.R. Pufunstuf Comes To Mutt & Stuff!, with beloved characters from the cult classic H.R. Pufnstuf, including Cling and Clang, Freddy the Flute and the Rescue Racer. Production on the special will begin this fall with a premiere date set for early 2016.
In H.R. Pufnstuf Comes to Mutt & Stuff! Stuffs favorite uncle H.R. Pufnstuf decides to visit him at the canine school. When H.R. Pufnstuf arrives with his friends from Living Island, Stuff goes overboard in an attempt to impress him and make sure everything is perfect.
Set in a unique school for dogs, Mutt & Stuff stars Calvin Millan and his dad, Cesar, star of Cesar 911 and original star of Dog Whisperer With Cesar Millan, interacting with a cast of both real dogs and puppets.
Mutt & Stuff currently ranks as the number-one preschool show in its time period on all TV, according to Nickelodeon. The series is created and executive produced by the Kroffts (H.R. Pufnstuf, Land Of The Lost), along with Bradley Zweig. Cesar Millan also serves as executive producer. Mutt & Stuff airs regularly weekdays at 10 AM on Nickelodeon.
H.R. Pufnstuf was the first TV show my brother and I created, so it has always held a special place in our hearts, said Marty Krofft. Our fans constantly ask us to bring back Pufnstuf, and we feel the vibrant world of Mutt & Stuff is the perfect setting to revitalize these colorful characters and build excitement for new fans.
Mutt & Stuff follows Calvin Millan and his best friend Stuff, a larger-than-life dog with a personality to match, as they take preschoolers inside the doors of Mutt & Stuff, a school for dogs, to explore the daily lives of these canine companions.
Each episode features incredible tricks, training lessons and high-spirited humor. With the help of 15 playful puppies and charismatic puppets, Calvin educates preschoolers on how to train and guide their dogs, as well as showcase the friendship and loyalty that puppies can provide.
The series has a social-emotional curriculum that helps preschoolers identify and manage emotions, build interpersonal awareness and develop social skills. Mutt & Stuff also carries a message of pet adoption and responsible pet care based on Cesar Millans philosophies.
