Bad flu shots. Two people in San Angelo, TX recently got flu shots and were hospitalized the next day. One was a 9 year old girl who received a flu shot and was in critical condition in the hospital the next day. Another was a working woman who received the flu shot and was hospitalized the next day.
Wonder if this was a bad batch that was local or have there been other cases in Texas or nationally?
So many people I know from PA have already had theirs and no reaction. I don’t get them.
Flu Shot?? AHHHH...no thanks
Didnt get the flu shot last year, didnt get sick Thank God..and I wont be getting it again this year. I will take my chances with the flu. My Mom will get it since she is older so she is more likely to experience complications from the flu. Besides, Im a big chicken I hate needles
One of my folks in Seattle got a flu shot and promptly came down with the flu.
I never get them. Never worked on me.
My Dad was a general Practioner for 50 some odd years, delivered over 3000 babies, lost 2.
The only time he got the flu, or was even sick, for that matter was in 1956 when the Navy made him take a flu shot.
My family takes 10,000 mgs of Vitamin D all winter⦠it’s dark here.
3000 mgs Vitamin C all winter..did I say it’s dark here? LOL
We eat a lot of Garlic and Onions and we are never sick..
Except for the odd tummy bugs that everyone gets from not washing their hands.
Billary tied up the vaccine industry in 93/94.
Anyone who believes in the CDC or NHI needs to be a bit more skeptical.
Just sayin.
Have gotten a flu shot every year for the last 20+ years except for one ... guess which year I go the flu (most miserable days of my life)? Rather take my chances with the flu shot then without.
I got one the other day and had a fairly high fever that night and early the next morning.
I may skip it next time.
We got the shot in Texas a few days ago, and so far, all is good.
I get my flu shot every year. I used to get a minor irritation in the muscle for a day or so, but for some time I haven’t had any reaction at all.
And with one thing and another, I get stuck with needles pretty often, so I barely notice them any more. The nurses at our local hospital are really good at it.
I personally don’t take the flu shot. When I was in the Army they gave the double-dose Swine Flu shots and several people died. I skipped the shot and signed my own shot record and did every year after that .... never got the flu.
What really scared me was when I later learned that the manufacturers are given immunity from being sued so they could technically put dog poop in the shot and couldn’t be sued.
Two days later I felt a little under the weather, just fought the feeling off and felt better by the next day.
Could be they have an allergy to eggs or something else in the vaccine.
My ONLY flu shot was in 72 while in the USAF.
Get your vitamin d3 levels checked...should be 60-80...if not take 10,000iu daily till it is
I used to never get flu shots. Now that I am older, I do. A few years ago I got the flu real bad - a lot of congestion in my lungs. I had never been sick quite that bad before and it really scared me. That is when I decided to get flu shots. I have had the flu a few times since I started with the flu shots, but not as severe as that one time I got so sick that it scared me. I had a flu shot a few weeks ago - no problems.
Have you given any thought to D-3? I take 5,000 iu in the summer and 10,000 iu in winter.
Your Dad sounds like a great man.
I haven’t even had a bad cold since getting a flu shot on a yearly basis ... don’t know if there is any correlation ... but?
Probably not a bad batch as much as the recipients were likely allergic to egg yolks, a key ingredient. There are warnings about allergic reactions which can cause Bell’s palsy or other issues.
