Mama Told Me (Not To Run)
Want some money in your war chest?
Bush legacy number three?
What's all these crazy questions they're askin' me?
This is the craziest election that could ever be
Don't bring in Marco 'cause I don't wanna see
Mama told me not to run
Mama told me not to run
"That ain't the way to have fun, no"
Open up the window, let some air into this room
I think I'm almost chokin' from the smell of Hillaries perfume
And that cigarette Obamaâs smokin' 'bout scare me half to death
Open up the window, Trump, let me catch my breath
Mama told me not to run
Mama told me not to run
"That ain't the way to have fun, son"
"That ain't the way to have fun, son"
LOL!!! Love it!
Ode to Jebbers ;-)
"Weird Al" Yankovic would be perfect for this but he doesn't do politics so I'm hoping maybe the Rush Limbaugh show or maybe even Trump's campaign staff can come up some witty lyrics, put a collage together on this and stick it on Instagram or YouTube.
Your lyrics aren't a bad start but I think with a little time and resources, we can make them more razor sharp and cutting.
Good one - post of the day!
Rubio-the-Amnesty-Pimp is now the chosen one for the Establishment.
Now that song is in my head. The 3Dog original. I have to allow it to play to completion, glockenspiel fade out and all.
Rush’s parody songs aren’t as catchy or well done any more. I guess everyone gets older, and the pipes (vocal cords) begin to wear out. Even singers. The parodies I do hear are usually too long and overwrought with effort. One of the first ‘overwrought efforts’ was Dancing Queen, sung by Barney Frank, back in 2012. This one was funny for maybe the first verse and first chorus. It did not need to go all the way through to three long verses. That was tedious.
Great!
Rusty Humphries used to do some of the best parodies ever.
I used to listen to him on XM radio.
He doesn’t do a radio show now, but does a podcast for the Washington Times.
He used to do some seriously funny ring tones.
Bravo!
