U.S. Tech Giants May Blur National Security Boundaries in China Deals (good article)
New York Times ^ | OCT. 30, 2015 | By PAUL MOZUR and JANE PERLEZ

HONG KONG — One Chinese technology company receives crucial technical guidance from a former People’s Liberation Army rear admiral. Another company developed the electronics on China’s first atomic bomb. A third sells technology to China’s air-to-air missile research academy.

Their ties to the Chinese military run deep, and they all have something else in common: Each Chinese company counts one of America’s tech giants — IBM, Cisco Systems or Microsoft — as a partner.

Such links, which are generally not well publicized, are now at the center of a debate among some in the American defense community, including former United States military officials, analysts and others. While the cross-border partnerships, under which American tech companies share, license or jointly develop advanced technologies with Chinese counterparts, are a growth area for business, security experts are increasingly questioning whether the deals harm United States national security.

This is a very good article.

It seems FINALLY some people are starting to question the unrestricted "sell every company to foreign companies", and outsource every job to foreigners.

You may take issue with the New York Times (as I do) but this article shows the establishment, is FINALLY starting to understand we are selling off everything.

The New York Times is to be applauded for paying attention to this.

America needs, to rebuild America.

Right here.

I remember when even a hint of working with the Commies would be the death knell of your business.

USA used to be a country of largely "uneducated" folk

Had safe neighborhoods, ate less processed food, put a man on the moon.

What happened? /rhetorical

Among the questions I have about this chart:

I turned 25 in 1978.
This chart says that only 68% of whites, my age or older had finished High School?

Amazing!

I haven't yet read the article, but it seems to me the idea of looking into these connections are a little late

Trump is the only man I know that has / will / and continue to;

just say no.

>>America needs, to rebuild America.

Salvaging a system requires understanding its specified purpose.

“TO SECURE THESE RIGHTS”

How many of the (Romans 1:25) slaves that worship Apple, IBM, Microsoft, and Cisco’s Created Things are able to articulate that?

That is EXACTLY my point.

Both of our political parties, all of our major candidates, everyone, has for the last generation been all for selling off every American interest in the world.

All of it. Both parties. Everyone.

This is why I decided to support Trump. I chose Trump because NOBODY ELSE is paying attention to American jobs.

Everyone else is completely sold out. Everyone.

Trump has appeared as this issue becomes ever more severe. I am very relieved that the Bushes (who have in my opinion been completely wrong about China) seem to have not gained any traction this time around.

Trump is the only one who is for American jobs.

I am not saying this to support Trump.

I am rather, supporting Trump because he is for American jobs.

There is a huge difference between the two.

Trump is the only one standing up and saying we need to stop selling out America.

He’s the only one. Anywhere.

IIRC, the main reasons were getting married / pregnant (for girls) and finding a job / joining the service for boys.

This is nothing new. It became a profound problem during the Clinton reign of terror. Can anyone say "Loral"? You can say "Loral, can't you Mrs. Clinton?

This is probably the root cause of how Chinese IT workers in China were given access to the OPM and other databases, building an internet superhighway to copy all the feds’ data.
Because they were given access due to low labor costs, while working for an ostensibly American contractor.

Had safe neighborhoods, ate less processed food, put a man on the moon.

We also had higher crime and Jim Crow laws.

Today what really matters is if it benefits the Chamber of Commerce and their members. Other than that nothing else matters.

A tenth grade education in 1940 was probably better the a junior collage education (2 years) today. Today college does what high schools used to do.
