So...as I sit here on FR, I am eating the last Twinkie, that was in the freezer before Hostess went bankrupt and closed.

I haven't tried them since they came back, so I don't know what the new ones are like.

They are the same. Just less union!

You’ve had a Twinkie in your freezer for around 2 years?

I know.

There was no need to freeze it.

I tried the Hostess Pies when they came back.

Absolutely dreadful-——and nothing like the old ones.

The old, original cherry pies were my secret vice for a while.

The Ho-Ho’s seem the same. Never ate the Twinkies.

You should have put it up on eBay.
Some fool probably would have given you $100 bucks or more for it.

Probably closer to 3.

I believe I bought them BEFORE Hostess announced their bankruptcy.

I get the freezing part. I do it with bread and other stuff all the time. But not for months, let alone years.

I LOVED the blueberry pies.

I also loved the frosted pie crust for all the pies.

“I haven’t tried them since they came back, so I don’t know what the new ones are like.”

For one thing, everything they came back with is 25% smaller at the same price. Go with Little Debbies or Mrs Freshleys

Not that type of Twinkie or cream filling.

Twinkies, with all of their preservatives, will survive a nuclear winter.

No, they are really not the same. They have a lot more preservatives in them, so they could extend the expiration date by a month.

“Last Of The Twinkies”

That would make a great title for a film about the eventual demise of liberalism.

I think the little tiny powdered sugar donuts have also changed a bit, but it’s been so long since I had the old ones my taste buds may have just changed.
