Looks like Arkansas, Oklahoma and Kansas comes with us.
Since Texas joined the USA via a treaty, Texas under international law, can secede simply by nullifying the treaty.

"Secession belongs to a different class of remedies. It is to be justified upon the basis that the States are Sovereign. There was a time when none denied it. I hope the time may come again, when a better comprehension of the theory of our Government, and the inalienable rights of the people of the States, will prevent any one from denying that each State is a Sovereign, and thus may reclaim the grants which it has made to any agent whomsoever." -- Pres. Davis.

I’m glad the founding fathers didn’t agree.

President Greg Abbott, I like the sound of that.

Really? In what way are we better off today than we were in 1774? Taxes then averaged about 2% of a man’s income. Today they are over 50%. Our government routinely exercises powers over us that King George could never have imagined (and would never have attempted).

When I was a little guy my mother was shocked when the restaurant I was at with my family had place mats that had the heads of all the Presidents on it, I yelled out loud where's President Davis?

Do you have multiple personality disorder, and one of your personalities is King George reincarnated?

What I am talking about is self-government. The right of people to determine how they are governed. You know, the thing that the Founding Fathers fought for. If you don’t believe in that then why are you even on FreeRepublic?
