everyone will be moving to Texas if Texas secede because the rest of US will be a basket case with Democrat controlling everything

So then how do the old folks in Texas collect their Social Security and get Medicare?

How is it treason? The people delegated powers to the federal government, they can just as easily take it back. The Founding fathers believed in government of the people, by the people, and for the people, ie. self determination and self government.

You mean the historically conservative position. You do know that the democrat party in the 1800s was the conservative party right? They supported low taxes and tariffs and limited government.

[The Texas charter to join the United States specifically states they can secede when/if they choose. It was ratified by both parties. Nothing illegal or treasonous.]

That is a fact, the only reason that Texas joined the union was conditional on their secession at will. And I hope they will. All they would need is the American Constituotion and conservatives with no dems or rinos or Syrians or other leftist fools in the state.

This would be something to see. I’d be amazed if it comes to pass.

They tried. They lost. Get over it.

The federal government didn’t go to war over slavery. Per Lincoln they fought to “preserve the union”.
Please keep in mind that most southerners were in favor of gradual emancipation (the way the north got rid of slavery). They just wanted to keep the fed gov out of it and have it be a state issue like it was when the north freed their slaves.

Every objection to secession is easily answered. For example social security— Americans living in many other countries continue to receive their checks. Texans after secession might have dual citizenship, or simply choose to remain US citizens. See my website www.freetexasconstitution.wordpress.com

I think Obama and the democrats would love Texas to secede.

So would I. I'd promptly move to Texas.

So treason is on the ballot in Texas?

Obtaining the citizens’ preferences with regard to an unConstitutional regime is not treason, da.

Authority does not come from “the people.” It comes from God. Secession based on the idea of individual sovereignty is simply code for anarchism and I have no time for that nonsense.

So treason is on the ballot in Texas?

maybe you could show me in the US Constitution the Article and Section that codifies secession being illegal?
