I think the Cruz folks are getting discouraged.

It reflects what's happening in the party at large. As it becomes clearer that Cruz has no path to the nomination voters are looking at other options. No point throwing good money after bad, or energy as the case may be.

Super Tuesday is Cruz's last chance. He has to pull off an upset somewhere other than Texas. If he does that he can stay in and play a role, possibly even make a pact with the GOPe to stop Trump. If it's just Texas it's over.

Honestly, based on the polling it's likely over now, but polls have been wrong before. Not often, but sometimes.

That's a thin reed, but it's the best I can say for his chances.
