At the bottom of the article: Millions of dollars are funneling into his campaign, both from himself and from his followers, and a lot of it is going back into his pocket indirectly, the attorney said.
Its basically recycling.

Legal? Mostly. Smart business sense? Probably. Using donated funds to pay yourself for campaign services? Not exactly a man looking out for the little guy.
And keep in mind Donald Trump loaned the money to the campaign. Donations from other will be used to retire that debt, and Trump then keeps the profit. In effect, he has done a leveraged buyout on his campaign with handsome returns expected.

Good for Trump. He won’t be fiscally beholden to anyone but himself.

Threads this morning about Hillary Clinton doing the exact same thing (for $250K in on billing). They ALL do it. That's the dirty little secret.

The FEC regulations require this kind of accounting nonsense. At least Donald Trump is not paying himself a salary as is Hillary.

Now that’s some monumental spin.

Actually, I’m betting that Trump intentionally plows almost every dollar back into the company.
He can live more than well on business expense accounts and his wife’s income and his residuals from Apprentice.
Why not plow it into the business with all those tax protections?
And any money he receives, I’m betting are expense reimbursements.

Same pants, different pockets. Trump is mostly self-funding. Anyone who donates to his campaign doesn't really care which pocket the money goes into, they just want a stake in a campaign that they admire.
I don't think people who support Trump do so because he is the second coming of St. Francis of Asissi. They want to disrupt an abusive power structure, and they see Trump as detached enough from the other side of the political process to make it happen.

So Trump is basically leasing his planes to himself. There is no profit back to Trump on any of this. Those planes are expensive to run and maintain. As for the rest of it, well he does live at Trump Towers so why not eat at the restaurants there. He probably has his small campaign staff, security and secret service eat there also.
I can’t get too excited and up set by any of this. So he is using his own money to rent his own offices and airplanes.

Donald Trump has absolutely zero reason to take a salary.
As CEO of multiple companies under his corporate umbrella, there is no dinner he eats, no hotel he sleeps in, no restaurant he dines at, no trip he takes, no call he makes, no anything he does that isn’t covered as a part of doing business for at least one of his businesses.

Is he paying himself more or less than Cruz is paying himself from his campaign funds ?
