I remember director Kevin Smith giving one of his talks (he tours colleges, etc. and is very funny just answering questions and telling stories) about Prince calling him out of the blue and having him come and film some party or event at his house.
By the end of the night he had run out of film, but Prince wanted him to make sure he caught some special thing. So he just went through the motions of “filming” without having any film.
Wasn’t a big Prince fan when I was young, but can appreciate some of his songs now for nostalgia.
I liked his stuff.
Life of the mother is morally defensible. No one is obligated to give her life for another.
Not “health” of the mother, which can be stretched to mean “will interfere with my good mood.”
I’m not opining on the morality of the position, only pointing out the loosening of the strictures as he gets closer to the general, and that is only going to accelerate.
Maybe that’s what he meant about people getting sick of him winning.
