Great song, great voice!
She just performed last week at Wolf Trap in Virginia. Fabulous, heart-felt, unforgettable performance.
Not being into country, this is one of hers that I really have always liked. And I think she is a great person and very accomplished in many ways, but it is disappointing how she has continued to defend her god-child, Miley Cyrus, publicly at least. Maybe she is different in private.
Obviously no women like this “Jolene” person have ever existed, and if they did they wouldn't want some other woman's man. The only way relations of that sort occur is because the lust of the men victimized them.
If you think events like those described in this song ever happen, you need to spend $1200 to $1400 for an “Every Man's Battle” workshop. Your lust is out of control.
And don't go saying that sin is a human characteristic, not just a male characteristic. Step out of your denial. And spend your money.

Not too much into country music, but I think her best song was,’I will always love you’.
Dolly wrote it then Whitney Houston came along years later and had a humongous hit with it. (I like Whitney’s version better. :) )
