I’m probably not alone when I say that my aversion to spiders seems almost primordial. The shape just says danger in caps.
...Past-life experience intruding on present time.

Similar to Bridey Murphy?
(I’m guessing many wont get the reference.)
“This proves that my DNA is not of this world.”
I guess that may be true of me, too. I think they’re kind of cute. Doesn’t stop me from stomping them, though, if they come into my home uninvited.

C.S. Lewis said “We are afraid of spiders because they remind of of French trains. They appear to be machines with all of the works on the outside”
Silly Rabbit!
Everybody knows Spider are from Mars!
I protect and feed the ones in my house.
Tonight, I walked all the way around the back of the machine shop, in the dark to feed the goats, just because an Orb Weaver had a half-completed web spanning the gate I usually go through.
I love spiders.
If you love only the things that are inherently lovable, what have you accomplished?
;)
Well, yeah, that too.
Hey look. Bowie is anti-Semitic too!
Have you heard of the goat/spider gene splice thing?
Now that is truly alien.
A little like that, but in a more general way.
I was just throwing in a zany quote from the film ‘Ghostbusters.’
My area used to have a huge Little Brown Bat colony but people got freaked and destroyed it.
It was a particular crepuscular joy, to sit and watch them come out and go home.
Rarely see them here, now.
On the way home on the bike, last night, they were out in force, along old RT 40.
Such a joy to behold.
Stuck in my head.
Thanks.
I remember that.
Whatever happened with it?
This couldn’t be true. I thought all of our thinking was learned behavior. This tells me that perhaps racism is an instinctive behavior. Could homosexuality also be hard wired?
The same goes for snakes. This is nothing new. It’s decades old research rebranded due to a new study.
It looks like a very large wolf spider to me.
And my family thought I was crazy for liking spiders! Glad to know that I am not alone with my feelings about spiders.
Are you favorites the jumping spiders?
I adore those little critters!
So friendly and brave.
I catch flies for the ones who inhabit my kitchen window sill.
They hop out of hiding when they see me, just in case I have something for them.
I think they weaponized their milk.
LOL
Actually, they’re using the milk to extract silk and make bullet proof vests and even stranger things.

Madness.
