Yep,
The Trump kids are not takers on the public dole.
They aren’t sitting around bitching about their edumacation costs.
I liked DJs based on substance
A young teacher I know had a baby last year and even as a professional was unable to utilize a daycare center across the street from where she works. The reason being that is costs $400 a week for an infant. The average family can hardly afford that.
The government involvement in childcare should be to get out of the way of small businesses and let all businesses including daycare prosper enough to offer services at prices Americans can afford. Government led daycare would be like the same lousy service we get from ALL government offices.
Why do you assume she is talking about government run day care? THEY ARE BUSINESS PEOPLE. They think about free market ideas. Come on people. It IS a problem.
Okay here is the REAL answer.
Tiffany was last. I loved her speech and her, but being the youngest child to speak, her youth and inexperience showed. I’m not knocking her, I loved it.
The other three, hit it out of the park!
First Don Jr. I was IMPRESSED!!! Presidential quality speech and delivery. I thought, wow, I pity the other two who have to follow him.
Then Eric. Less polished on TV and following a near perfect speech by his brother, I thought he would struggle. Boy was I WRONG! It was a FANTASTIC speech and delivery. I thought he topped his brother, but then Eric’s was fresh in my mind.
Now to Ivanka. I thought her speech was in a class by itself, not really comparable to the others. It was AMAZING in content and delivery. She made a speech of vice presidential quality with the personal story no VP candidate could make. She made the case for women to support Trump like no one else could have.
So who won? Donald J Trump WON! By raising four very impressive children. With them in his corner, how could he lose???
My official ranking is thus:
Don Jr., Eric, and Ivanka are all TIED for first place.
Tiffany comes in second.
I think she was pushing for assistance with child care so that mothers could come back to work sooner and not have to drop out of the workforce.
I thought all four kids were effective, each in their own way.
Donald Jr. hit it out of the park, but I would have dinner with Ivanka anytime!
They were all excellent and painted a great picture of their father and his humanity, but Id have say Don, Jr. His speech was a very conservative, policy oriented speech that was better than that given by any governor or senator there. He laid out his fathers key policies in a very clear and informed way. I was convinced that these were principles that he truly believed in, while he also gave us more insight into his father. That bit about how when his father is told something is impossible, he takes it as a starting point was especially good.
I thought Ivankas delivery was excellent, and I liked her affirmation that he will do what he promises and be the peoples champion, but really she does seem a little on the lefty side to me. Tiffanys discussion of her father was the most personal, so she was good at softening his image, but her speech was less substantial than the others. Erics speech was also personal and some of things he said were actually kind of touching, but I thought he seemed a little nervous and I didnt think the content and orangization of his speech was quite as good as Dons (although it was still very strong). Its really unfortunate too that the electronics screwed up so much while he was speaking. (Cruz must have cursed the screens and electric signs with his presence.)
I can’t even believe there is a question! But apparently there is! DONALD JR. was BY FAR the best. Hands down. And he is going to be President one day as well.
I’m still confused as to whether Trump’s three children by Ivana are eligible to run for POTUS. Ivana became a Naturalized Citizen in 1988 when their youngest, Eric, was 4 years old. Based upon my research, it seems one’s mother has to become a citizen before they are born. Presidential eligibility is linked to the mother’s status (think Cruz).
I also have serious doubts about youngest Barron. Melania became Naturalized in 2006, the same year Barron was born. Barron was born in March, not sure which month Melania became a citizen (If she achieved this status before giving birth, perhaps Barron may be able to run.
The only child who is obviously eligible is Tiffany, as her mother Marla was born in Georgia.
You are correct. Unless you use the Obama/Cruz criteria, only Tiffany is a natural born citizen.
Don Jr. addressed that last year once. I can’t remember when/where - it might have been his speech in Elko.
Such a bummer that most of Trump’s children aren’t eligible as they all echo their father’s common sense Conservatism and eschew political correctness.
Still cannot think of any other candidate who would offer anything close to the honest message, out-of-the-box thinking and courage to take on the corrupt system that Mr. Trump has offered!!
They were all good but—Donald Jr. stood out as kenedyesque. I see a bright future for him. His honesty and good looks can only help. We might be seeing a new dynasty coming forward.
Don & Eric tied for first place
Tiffany age and experience appropriate; poised and diplomatic
Ivanka did not like where she was going with the feminist view of family. Too cutsie from time to time. Nevertheless, she was terrific in many ways; but I don’t let her beauty and poise get in the way of what she said. Government is not the correct vehicle to address the imbalance in bottom-line average earnings most women CHOOSE to take the bigger role in child and elder care, and earnings reflect that.
I agree.
I in no way heard she was promoting government daycare, and I make sure I hear every word and will not tolerate interruptions when such a delivery is being made.
She agreed that daycare is a problem but did not offer that it was in any way the governments job to get involved in it. As much as the Trump family thrives on independence, shame on you if that was your implication.
lol
