While enjoying a beautiful cricket-chirping Summer's evening I realized that, since the ridiculously-fraudulent editing of her "gun control" report last May came under fire, so to speak, Katie Couric has been utterly and completely silent.
Just thought I'd point that out so you, like me, can close this lovely Summer day on a high note.
I think she plays herself in the new Clint Eastwood movie about the pilot Sullenberger played by Tom Hanks. I saw a clip of the movie. Obviously it was shot before the controversy.
Obviously she’s been hauled up into drydock where they’re scraping the barnacles off her gums.
In real life, though ... Crickets.
Sad. Those used to be such perky barnacles.
To be honest, can’t say that she’s been missed. What network was she on, again?
Whatever happened to Joan London? ‘Visiting Angel’?
Joan’s looking after her mother on late-night TV everywhere.

I don’t exactly know why this whole Katie thing occurred to me. It just seems strange for a mediot to actually sit down and shut up for months after being called out for bias. Usually, they pointlessly double-down.

She just did, two or three days ago, a (mercifully) short walking interview with some slob Milwaukee congresswoman after the riot there. I think I saw it here on FR.

Jane Pauley did a similar spin, crash,and burn a few years ago with a bogus report on GMC pickup trucks.

She had more to fear from Deborah Norville than the VRWC.
CC just about burned through that $10 million or so golden parachute from her last gig - CBS I think.
