AMISH consuming Homebrew.
The authorities only care about the TAXES that weren’t being paid on it.

(They told me it could never happen in America. And then it did....)

It was a preemptive raid. They were afraid the youths were going to form up outside of the mall and go on a wilding spree.

The Amish are a Christian sect whose members live a simple lifestyle and shun modern conveniences Hardly. I know my ex-father-in-law's experiences are not unique. He had local Amish offering to pay him to use his meat freezer & his phone for long distance calls. He knew two retirees who made $35-$40K in cash per year for driving them back & forth to work sites (15+ years ago). Amish will not use electric tools, but gas-powered are apparently fine.
I don't think the Amish even know what exactly they believe.

Raising those barns too fast.
It’s embarrassing and discriminatory to the 47% not working.

Amish youth "rumspringa".
It's popular amongst Amish youth in some settlements, unheard of in others, I would hazard the majority.

Is it against their religion to consume alcohol? Were they having a big shootout? I understand the underage drinking, but why not focus on groups that are violent?

What goes "Clip-clop Clip Clop Bang. Clop Clop Clip Clop BANG?"
An Amish drive by.

Police do not want to deal with groups that could be violent. They could get violent. Also they could be accused of discrimination. Arresting Amish is safe. There are Amish in jail for hate crimes (shaving heads). They are serving longer sentences than some murderers.

It was a preemptive raid. They were afraid the youths were going to form up outside of the mall and go on a wilding spree.Yes, and they might get drunk and drive the team.
