I read that Margret Thatcher is the one who made them popular.
Where’s the public outrage and denouncement campaign against Gucci for using the P word to describe a woman’s article of clothing? oh, a gay named it? ok, then.

Reminds me, I got to take a Wiki Leaks dump.

It has become a timeless style blouse. It originally was called a FLOPPY BOW Blouse and comes out of the 80's so is a RETRO style, as an answer to a professional woman's need to wear a more feminine version of a man's dress shirt and tie. It's even been called a Secretary's blouse.
Even Eagle Forum's Founder wore them she was fairly young when this B&W photo was taken wearing one. And they were sure not called 'pussy bow' blouses back then. That is strictly Gucci doing it as a draw in for you to buy a over priced item. Most of mine came out of Dillard's or Macy's for a fraction of that cost. But they are 20+ yrs old and still in great condition as they are worn only a few hours on Sunday or to a funeral.
Just a little fashion history for the clueless. You live long enough and keep your clothes they come back in style. Maybe more women will go back to wearing this beautiful stylish blouse.
Melania on Anderson Cooper now. Very calm and cool.
