I never change the time in my car. I just mentally adjust it. It’s right now. To change it I’d have to get out the owners manual and that’s just too much work everytime the time changes. Lol
My husband does the vehicles.
Otherwise, they’d all be 200 hours wrong.
:D
Drat.
I really wish I lived near a time zone line so I could hop back and forth.
/still obsessing on time travel
My hubby is worse than me! Lol. My car only winds up an hr off. His is 2 hours off. Now it’s only one. Lol
:D
If I didn’t have an iPhone and my TV info button didn’t show the time, I wouldn’t know where I was.
:)
As to the history of this very large step of Big Brother into the lives of US Citizens - it was thought the big land holders wanted this as LAW due to the fact that at the time of enactment, many choice properties were held by drive-in movie theaters who had the big business and large audiences. With the time change, this would make it impossible for them to continue to stay in business; Thus, having to close. No more revenue, and the sale of property to the highest bidder. Later, this land would become a new business, one ‘more approved’ by the city. The large drive-in on Central Expressway in Dallas (just north of TI) became a used car lot at one time. A Drive-in near Denton might have become a part Green Valley Raceway. This was so many years ago the memory is unclear. The death of an industry, the death of drive-in movies....ultimately leading to the shortage of what to do and where to go for teenage date nights.
As a rebel, one year I refused to reset my clocks. Yes, it did make for confusion on occasion. And, yes, during that time the instructions for reset of the time were long forgotten and in need of a refresher course.
There are some states who do refuse to change by state law. Relatives living close to Canadian border would work in one state and live in another - these people were always confused as to the time of day depending on what states participated in this atrocity.
LEAVE OUR CLOCKS ALONE!!!
It would be agreed, this falls right behind his key and kite idea. :-/
Actually it was introduced so President Woodrow Wilson could get in a round of golf every afternoon - true story.
This year, DST began on March 13 and will end on Nov. 6. And next year, DST begins on March 12 and ends on Nov. 5, 2017.
