The Ford Shelby GT500 Super Snake puts out 850HP and can easily top 200 MPH. Modification of even the Mustang GT (non-Shelby) can hit 200 MPH depending on the mods.
208 in the dark with no headlights is just asking for trouble, innit?
Just drove 15 hours last weekend, the majority at night, nervous and speed-compliant. Lots of fresh blood patches and deer carcasses around...
My Fox body (eighties and early nineties) stock Mustang(s) would start getting front end mush floaty above 100 MPH. They topped out around (indicated) 135 MPH. I doubt newer models are much better without LOTS of modifications.
Street Outlaws. It’s in the 405, right?
Good thing he didn’t stick his hand out the window...
Factoring in Bernoulli’s, he’d be airborne.

There’s a Mustang running about on the streets here in N Alabama that has some special lighting and a license plate that claims a top speed of 204 with, some ungodly horsepower rating (500? 700?). Wish I could recall it more clearly.
It’s a Shelby Cobra - guessing around 2010-14.
Chuck Norris out for a jog
[[Fraire was eventually pulled over at a red light.]]

That was 30 years ago. I’ve hit over 100 without even a shimmy. Didn’t even realize I was doing it. Great aerodynamics, and an independent rear suspension.
See post 16.

figure he must have been drunk
“...driver was arrested on complaints of reckless driving”
After someone called it in, troopers must have been cruising up ahead waiting for him to come along.
There’s a King of the Road Mustang. The GT500KR.
Probably that model. But even that one doesn’t allow the operator to “turn of the brake lights” as the article notes.
