I have never understood why a multi-billion dollar industry needs an endowment.
One can only hope that one of the first things he shuts down is the NEA .
Please cut the funds , shut the doors and fire them all .
LOL! Ya know, I have considered that a time or two. When it’s light and fluffy, not so bad. When it’s wet and heavy, torch it.
These “artists” have all the ability in the world to go to GoFundMe, Indigogo, or Kickstarter.
Many thousands have done just that. It gives people that want what they do to be funded by their private money.
No tax money needed!
If they cant make a case there, then they have no case.

Curtailing the billions in Fed money provided to worthless non-profits will aid in forcing a culture change towards productivity and profitable contribution to society instead of a continual enabling of a grifting, welfare minded society.

I disagree. They are always used by the left, never by the right. The bias is always to the left.
So why aren’t the New York and California leftists supporting the art they think is so important? Pass the hat around, if it is so important they could pony up 10% of their net worth and create a private foundation that the barbarians in fly-over country can’t touch.
Just 10% of the tech guys fortunes could support every unwashed, barefoot artist in the country.

The group of people in this nation who most need to be beat down and bloodied are a particular group of whites. Urban elite pseudo-intellectual snobs, to be precise.
We should be at war with them.
There’s a story in THE HILL about a bunch of cuts coming and NEA defunding was on the list (supposedly). No firm info on it from Trump’s people yet.
