Probably. But it is theoretically possible for a cloud to have that brightness/color in the mountains, in the AM or PM when the sun is up and the valley where you stand is still in shadow.You're correct 1rudeboy I have seen quite a number of lenticular clouds highlighted just like the one in the photo, usually in the late afternoon, looking up from the valley were I live with 14,000 foot mountains towering nearby.

I’ve seen it before too in clouds- but the colors in this photo seem a bit over saturated- like the red around the outside- the yellow seems a little boosted too- I do photoshop retouching post processing photos- and it looks to me like when I go to far boosting the colors-
Not saying this photo was, but it just looks that way to me

You answered my question. I’ve seen generally similar clouds when standing in shaded valleys in the White Mountains of Arizona and in similar valleys in the Cascades. Makes sense.
