California taxpayers are shelling out $25,000 a month for 40 hours of former U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder’s time to help the state strategize for upcoming clashes with the Trump administration, according to a contract obtained by a conservative watchdog group.

The California Legislature hired Holder and his Washington, D.C., firm, Covington & Burling, last month to assist with legal challenges over everything from immigration to environmental policies.

Judicial Watch, which obtained Holder’s contract through a records request, called the deal “crony corruption pure and simple.”

The retainer is void since Eric Holder is not even licensed to practice law in the State of California. Not to mention already held in contempt by Congress. Help us, please Mr. Sessions.

What is to stop Sessions, my former Senator, from digging into Holders actions in office like fast and furious and bringing him up on charges.

TonyM :" What is to stop Sessions, my former Senator, from digging into Holders actions in office like fast and furious and bringing him up on charges."

Why would anyone knowingly supply arms to a drug cartel, unless they received something in return.
there were never any charges brought against the Mexicans who received the arms., to my knowledge.
The last I knew, "International gun running" was a criminal offense
Maybe this issue should best be addressed to "the Hague".
Has Holder ever visited Mexico after leaving office ?

Something’s rotten in Denmark.

This reeks of a bogus attempt to cloak attorney/client privilege for unsavory California politicians and/or criminal misconduct. Nancy, Moonbeam, Garcetti, de Leon, Newsom, et al.

Sanctuary cities? Sanctuary state?

Wasn't the plan to give BHO an excuse to do away with the Second Amendment?

Calvin Locke :" Wasn't the plan to give BHO an excuse to do away with the Second Amendment? "

Why, I believe it was one of the intents
to blame American gun enthusiasts from providing arms to the cartels.
But that doesn't explain the infusion of drug cartels via "open borders" into major American cities.
If this arming of cartels is a criminl act,
doesn't that fall under the guidelines of "Conspiracy" and RICO ?

"California taxpayers are shelling out $25,000 a month for 40 hours of former U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder’s time..."

My parents bought a brand new three bedroom house in Los Angeles county for $21,000 in 1960.

My granddad's jaw would hit the floor, if he saw that this race baiting hustler was paid more than that, for just 40 hours of "work".

So he’s working one day a week and being $25,000/month. That’s a pretty nice extracurricular activity there. As usual, it all depends on who you are.

California Democrats had better learn to play nice with President Trump and the Federal Government. And not be mean and nasty.

California Democrats are currently begging the feds to approve a $647 million dollar federal grant for local rail in the San Francisco Bay Area. They began a $2 billion electrification of rail, that wasn't needed but the enviro whackos convinced them to scrap the existing diesel locomotives in favor of electric wires and engines. The existing diesel locomotives already use electric motors; the diesel engines generate power to drive the electric motors. All being scrapped, in favor of bringing electricity over wire which is very wasteful!

The local rail electrification is tied to the high-speed rail project, where California Democrats are also begging the feds for billion dollar grants.

President Trump should say "No!" until California plays nice with him.
