A morbidly obese man recently created a massive commotion in the middle of a busy sidewalk in China after accidentally slipping and falling on his butt.

Due to his obesity, it has been difficult for him to land a job. As a result, he has been unemployed and has spent his time just playing computer games at home. His parents have been searching for a weight loss solution over the years, bringing him to hospitals and health specialists. So far, none of what they’ve tried has worked.

When Xiao Huang reached his heaviest at over 485 lbs, his parents decided that enough was enough and placed him on a strict diet. Since the start of the Chinese New Year, Xiao Huang has been eating mainly light snacks and water, sometimes even choosing to skip meals. His new diet, however, has caused him to lose his energy and strength. He also has experienced getting dizzy frequently.

For almost 2 hours, a group of rescuers worked together to help 27-year-old Xiao Huang stand back up, reported Shanghaiist.

Considered to be Wuhan’s fattest resident, Xiao Huang developed his weight problem around 7 years ago, when his weight ballooned to over 440 lbs.

More recently, he accidentally fell in the bathroom and local police officers were called in for help. He would later be admitted to a hospital for treatment. On Monday, fresh from being released from the hospital, he again lost his balance as his mother was walking him to a taxi.

Curious people began gathering around the fallen Xiao Huang as he was unable to stand back up.

Responding to his mother’s emergency call, two police officers arrived. While they both tried with all their might, the pair still couldn’t get Xiao Huang to stand up. Even after calling for backup, the rescuers, with now seven people, still failed in getting him back on his feet.

An hour later, six firefighters and 10 medical workers arrived to help, trying out every possible means to get him to budge. By that time, Xiao Huang had gone numb and all progress to prop him back up failed.

The firefighters them came up with the last ditch solution of rolling the poor fellow into a wide board wrapped in hospital bed sheets. A dozen people then lifted him on the hospital bed. The entire rescue took about two hours. Soon after another brief trip to the hospital, Xiao Huang was finally sent home.

Doctors have suggested that due to his condition of not being able to exercise, surgery may offer some much-needed relief.

He wishes he was 485 pounds.

After being home for more than 5 years with a head injury, I went from 240 to 440!!!!

Then I started driving a cab. Took groceries out of the trunk and to the doors of people’s houses, was winded but able to do it.

Fell down six cement stairs, broke nothing, and got up on my own. It wasn’t that hard. Not easy but DIDN’T NEED people’s help.

I’m at 325 now and still fighting to get below 300.

This guy is 600 plus pounds. I’d bet everything on it.

Something’s gotta change in my mindset.

It’s been EIGHTEEN months since I lost the 100 plus.

Been stagnating for that whole time at the same weight, give or take 5 pounds.

Don’t know how to get the mindset I had then, back.

Was down to 319 then went to Vegas and broke my mindset completely!!! Excuses..

When I worked as security in a call center, we would have to call 911 about once a week for someone having chest pains, shortness of breath ect.. Every time a fire truck would respond with the ambulance. I asked a fireman why they always responded with the ambulance. He said because they never know how large of a person they would be hauling out of here. It made me laugh out loud.

Wow. Very sad. He must feel more like a monster than a human being. Surgery is the only solution for someone that size but I’m sure that is easier said than done in China.

Hubby is a retired firefighter. He had several severely obese people within his stations radius. One specifically was bad. Always falling and couldn’t get up. They always left with broken backs from hauling his azz off the ground. When the guy finally died they had to cut a hole in the side of his trailer to get him out. He hadn’t been outside of it for years.

Right there in the article (it was hard to read because it keeps repeating sections). Anyway, it said:

Due to his obesity, it has been difficult for him to land a job. As a result, he has been unemployed and has spent his time just playing computer games at home.

Subway restaurant worked wonders for Fat Bastard in the Austin Powers movies. This guy needs a change of diet. Are there Subways in China?

Put him in a jail cell with no family members to contact except by phone. A couple of thousand calories of rabbit food a day will fix the problem. The libertarian in me says no but he needs help.

My son weighs in the 400s. He works as an emt going up stairs and carrying people on gurneys. For fun he runs around for hours playing sword fighting games with Belegarth. He drives a cab. He would not need anyone to help him off the sidewalk! What am I missing here?

To be clear he’s a side of beef but he is very independent and mobile and strong.
