“Blue-footed Boobies” to be precise. There are also Brown-footed Boobies. Both I think are from the Galapogus region.

You must be tempted to stay home everyday! I once lived by a small forest that tempted me the same way each morning.

Great shot of the Heron!

My area in Southern California is being colonized by large (and small) squawky parrots.

There are any number of theories as to where they came from (a fire in a pet store, escaped pets, smuggled in illegally and then escaped, released when Budweiser Gardens closed).

They're beautiful but loud - and, don't park your car under a tree where they swarm:

My personal photos aren't great but this is exactly what they look like.

Nice to pause to think about how Swampsniper contributed to quality of life on FR, and now he enjoys heaven. Thank you.

Some people think birdwatching is a dull past time. OTOH, it has its moments of drama.

Well, I can't match your Great Blue Heron eating a rabbit sequence. The best that I can do is a Great Blue Heron eating a big fish.

If you have a Facebook account, you can use that to host pictures. Just right click on the image and select “Copy Image Address”. Also, if you have a picture that you don’t won’t to post on Facebook for others to see, when you post it just select “Only Me”. You can still use the link to post elsewhere.

Beautiful pics. I have to get back out to Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge, as soon as they repair the 100’ breach in the trail. I’ve been waiting since Hurricane Sandy to get back out there, but there has been considerable dawdling to repair the trail, as well as a lot of the homes damaged by the storm.
